The castle is confusing but very satisfying to explore, especially as you get new powers. Movement is fantastic.

The first game I ever backed on Kickstarter did not disappoint. A complete story with wonderfully written characters and a rich world that feels alive. Very much worth the wait. I loved every minute. The energy point and skill tree systems lead to me making a lot of small decisions often, especially given that some members of the party would split off - often taking important held items with them - leading to many battles requiring different strategies. Basically, each combat encounter became a puzzle, with the differing team compositions and various weaknesses and strengths of each member and each enemy creating a problem to be solved. The story was also succinct and poignant in the right measures to be compelling over the entire playthrough. I was honestly disappointed that there wasn’t more, but I’d rather that than be ready for it to be over less than halfway through. Every character literally changes as the story progresses, in how they act, view the world and themselves, and how they look Oh, and the music is 🔥

Between this release and the Xbox Game Pass release, I have now finished this game 3 times.
This is an absolutely DELIGHTFUL game. There are a bunch of messages that ring true for today's world, and I just wish everyone could have the opportunity to play this game!

I backed this game while it was on Kickstarter based on the demo, and now that I've got a couple hours of Prologue under my belt, I can say without a doubt this will likely be the only rougelike I ever play. The gameplay is fluid and always pushing you forward - both in the dream world and the city of Redhaven. The atmosphere and the music sucked me in and (while I'm not very good at the game yet) the way your relations above affect your abilities below.

I don't have much playtime on this game, mostly because I feel like this would have made a much better mobile game than a PC DTCG. I think that there is a lack of interaction that is acceptable on devices that can fit in your pocket, but if I'm booting up my computer, I want to be able to directly affect the game state, not set a line-up then watch a timer.

That being said, if you enjoy pre-game strategy more than in-game strategy, this is the game for you. It is a bit of a deck building exercise, but it's not for me.

This game had me going from start to end. I wanted to know more about the player character and his relationship with Serena. The ending was definitely a shock to me, and I was left with my mouth on the ground for the last ten minutes of my playthrough. Great game, would reccomend.
