Early Access Review
It's still a little rough around the edges, but that's to be expected for Early Access. It's relaxing and enjoyable. You have to actually pay attention but it's worth it. The map is great, listing what's in each area and what level you need to be to harvest that particular node (ie. Fish, plants, etc.)... but only AFTER you visit that area and actually click on the things to discover them.

Overall I'm having a nice time in this game. A welcome distraction!

My time played on Steam doesn't reflect my actual time played as I usually use the Loading Bay launcher version. I love this game so much. It's got survival base building that is fun but not so crazy difficult only the "git gud" crowd can enjoy it. Lovecraftian monsters, an SCP/Control vibe, a large variety of things to do, different quests (not a bunch of fetch quests) and challenging bosses, exploration, a weird but fun story, and on top of all that it's free to play but not pay to win. Cash shop is cosmetics only.

I think about playing this game when I'm not playing it. I can't wait to come home from work and fire it up. It's just a really fun game.

It does have some quirks and some growing pains. I'm not sure how their whole "seasons" deal will wind up working out, but right now I've been willing to drop money on some cool cosmetics to support the devs.

I have many more hours in this game than are shown on Steam (I played it when it first came out in the CD version about a million years ago) and love this game so much. It has everything a Star Wars game could want. Play it. Even if the interface is a bit wonky these days.

Despite the wonkiness from the rushed development (I blame EA not Obsidian!) this game is such fun. I have many many more hours than shown on Steam because I played the original CD version eons ago back in the annals of time. Would definitely recommend, though the old interface takes some getting used to.

A charming cozy house building/gardening/light questing game. Relaxing and enjoyable especially after a hard day at work.

EDIT: I have finished the game, though I haven't done everything there is to do in it. I am in NG+6. I still love the game and recommend playing it. Yes, there are some issues. Yes, it's a Bethesda game. You know what? Bethesda games are fun. They have given me lots of joy for decades. Haters gonna hate. But lovers gonna love Starfield and I do.

PREVIOUSLY ON THIS REVIEW: I haven't finished this game yet. I've barely scratched the surface. But it's so much fun. Being in New Atlantis (the only real city I've visited so far) is amazing. They have housing districts with people living in housing including my parents (my mom looks almost exactly like me... dad is... well I obviously take after mom). There is a shopping district, though shops are not restricted to that district alone so you have small shops, a convenience store even! in non-mercantile districts, there is public transportation, there is a doctors' office, a plastic surgeon... a news network building, a public park... there is so much in that city and I haven't even fully explored it. The space flight is good, but I don't like flying sims or even driving so I'm glad I don't have to do a lot of that unless I really want to (spoiler alert: I don't). You can fight space pirates in space... you can fight them on the ground too. You can board ships and take them for your own. You can discover new locations on planets. You can find out secrets of the universe. You can join a cult. There is so much to see and do. And like I said, I've only just begun!

Things I've done:
Joined a once famous now not so much explorers' society to investigate mysterious artifacts.
Fought a bunch of pirates AND mercs who were fighting each other as I tried to sneak around an abandoned outpost to find someone.
Visited my mom and dad and heard my mom nag me about getting married and that I left my room a mess.
My dad is proud of me... and he handed me a gun as a gift (it's a pretty nice gun!)
I went shopping for clothing.
I went shopping for weapons.
I went shopping for a new ship (can't afford one yet)
I got tracked down by a bounty hunter who is after me because as a chef I accidentally killed my patron and now his family wants me dead (I took the chef background and Wanted trait so they would go together well and man it makes a nice story)
I got chomped on my an alien creature on an alien planet and almost lost a leg
Managed to stuff my space ship full of more people than I have room for
Rescued a guy from pirates
Helped a scientist with his tree studies

I did have one very unfortunate bug: my character must have glitched out completely because all of her saves were corrupted and then when I was trying to load a different character the buggy one just... disappeared along with all her bad saves. To be safe I deleted ALL of them and started over (I wasn't very far into the game so it wasn't a big deal at that time). My new character has been just fine, no bugs or glitches. Nothing unfortunate has happened after 20 hours into this character's game. Whew.

I love this game so much.

Granted I'm only a couple hours in but so far I'm enjoying this game. It does have Dishonored vibes and I really like the art style. I don't care for the bad facial animations and some of the dialogue is somewhat cringey though the voice acting is good. Don't understand the hate for this game.

This game was great fun, had amazing and beautiful graphics, and kicked my butt so hard I can't sit down for at least another year. It's a wonderfully fun game and I will probably never finish it because I'm not patient or masochistic.

Amazing retro feel to this game. Although this is more of an Ultima look, the feel is very Might and Magic and I love that. Very fun game and I recommend it to anyone who loved either Ultima or Might and Magic!

Following the patch this game is better than ever. Not sure what it is, but it feels smoother, more polished, and just more enjoyable all around. So, choom... you gonna go get this pretty piece or no?
