You don't even have to ask, just play it.

This is an early access title masquerading as a full release. If you enjoy the combat loop, you'll enjoy the current release but I cannot recommend it to the average consumer in its current state.

The atmosphere, sound design, and combat loop are top notch...but most of the supporting systems and progression (crafting has not been implemented; weapon access and gear level is essentially time-gated and heavily RNG) are severely lacking at this point. Also the various bugs, crashes, and peculiarities of AI spawn director need to be worked out (stop spawning things in thin air directly in-front of or behind players, this includes area mini-bosses like the daemonhost).

There was clearly a lot of care put into the background lore, but the actual narrative arc for the main story is horrible. "We don't trust you, do more missions till we do, repeat ad nauseam." It's a horde shooter so most of us aren't here for the story anyway, and the background lore generally makes up for it during actual gameplay...but most of the cutscenes (excepting the first and last) are essentially shoehorned repetitive nonsense at this point.

Bethesda's creation club downloads the entire library of mods regards of whether or not you want them. Plus is makes the script extender unusable.

Game feels amazingly smooth, honestly I was suprised. Highly recommend to former/current league or dota players looking for the intense tactical decision making of a team fight streamlined into a 10 minute game session. Steady updates and a polished early access build without are both highlights.
