Silly game that's fun to stream to friends. Quazi-Open World game with a short story and a good endless mode. If you enjoyed Paper's Please and you felt that you needed something more this is the game for you.

A love letter to activision
Thank you for diluting a franchise that used to be rich and bountiful. You’ve reduced it to nothing more than an anti-consumer cash cow. Although you’re one step up from Gacha Mobile Games, you’re not far from it. Please bring back what we once loved. The fans deserve better. Gamers have spent and catalogued decades worth of gameplay for you just for this to be the return. It only shows how little you truly care and how willing you are to make a quick buck off of anyone you can. You’re no better than EA.

The review

It’s exactly what you’d expect from activision. Once upon a time they made decent games, some would even say great. Now a days they’re in a head to head competition to be the worst in the industry with EA. Not only is everything paywalled, but it feels rushed and undeveloped. When Overwatch first released there seemed to be a definitive plan. Heroes releasing to add on to the gameplay instead of filling niche roles. Characters released with many cosmetics, highlight intros and taunts. Now, taunts are added via battlepass and are just clones of each other. Characters aren’t developed and don’t retain any lore nor create new lore for fans to follow. As a matter of fact the newest character Illari doesn’t come with any lore whatsoever. We, as a player base, were left in the dark literally until release. No information on her kit, the numbers, or the backstory.

The path activision forced the developers down was a dark one. Although there may be people working on this game as a passion project still, it sure doesn’t come across as one. When players are prayed on with a micro transaction scheme after being fed false hope for YEARS. Yes YEARS. Not a month of lies and empty promises, but years. There’s nothing left to do other than leave a negative review in hopes of change.

Drip feeding content is the new normal in the industry and overwatch 2 just feeds into it even more. There’s many other games to be devoted to…. So don’t be like me and wait around for something to pay off that never will. Move on. Pick something else. This was just another disaster in the modern world of gaming. Thanks Blizzard for slowly and painfully destroying a game franchise many players adored. We really appreciate it.

There's not much else you can say about this game other than it's a perfect game. The amount of choices, options, quick time events, and story telling is seemingly unlimited. I highly suggest playing this game if you are considering playing a choose your own adventure style game. Nothing even remotely compares to this. If you love Telltale - The Walking Dead / Wolf Among Us you will absolutely love this game.

Don't buy this game. All you hear the entire time you're playing is "RELOAD!" Just calm down buddy, I'm gonna reload! I know it's true to the arcade experience but SHEEEEEESH. In addition to this major problem, the game takes an ETERNITY to load! Do not BUY even when on SALE.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is outstanding. The gameplay is modernized but not simplified, meaning ammo management and resource gathering is a must. Maintaining a organized Storage Case isn't as vital as it was in the original version and has been updated to include an Auto-Sort feature. (Although if you use Auto-Sort you're not really experiencing the game it's meant to be.) In addition to interesting gun fight, there is a fine amount of puzzles ranging from easy to rather challenging. Though, even for new players a guide isn't really necessary as most things are highlighted in a yellow paint to guide you through the levels.

My favorite feature
The photo-mode is unmatched by any other game I have played. It's ability to switch into the camera with a press of a button is so fluid it barely takes away from your gameplay. As a matter of fact I do believe it enhances the gameplay. Being able to stop ANY cutscene and snap a photo is just something I'd never think a game would be able to do, but Capcom made it possible. So all my Screen Shot takers, please, buy this game with the intention of taking hundreds, if not thousands of screenshots. The photo-mode is intuitive and easy to control, as well as adjust preferences to your specific liking. The amount of options may seem limited at first, but if you're a very creative person you can snap some AMAZING screenshots.

I give RE:4 Remake a 5/5. Not only does it take the original game and make it look and feel amazing, but it adds something I didn't even know I needed. Photo-mode alone carries this game for me and I hope it does for you too. Feel free to share your screenshots here if you happen to read this review.

I'm looking forward to starting my NewGame+ as soon as I'm done wasting all my time snapping SS's.

It's kind of fun for 15-20 hours but the gameplay loop is repetitive even if it's a multiplayer only game.

It's similar to smash bros. and 2D soccer games from SNES. It's a nice balance of fun and silly with competitive aspects.

Only pick it up if you're looking for a new game to play with friends for the time in-between big releases / updates for games you'll actually play.

After about 800 hours or so you kinda just give into the game. You stop caring about the outcome of the trial, as you've accepted your fate once you hit that shiny [READY] . You know almost every situation that could happen. You've been exposed to good teammates, bad teammates, toxic killers, friendly killers, and of course everything in between. The only thing that can change your personal experience is you. Don't think the game will change for you, because it won't. Bring those OP items. Use those Awesome Add-Ons. Play how you want to and not how others demand you to. Once you've seen the same 12 meta perks for 600 of those 800 hours, nothing comes as a surprise. Nobody is unique. Except you. You can try to break the curse of the meta perks.

And remember.

Always say GG at the end of your match.

Phenomenal indie title. Looking to kill 5-25 minutes? This is the game for you. Simple to learn, difficult to master. Extremely addictive. Continually play this title with an infinite amount of possibilities.
