Democracy wins!

Best murder/identity theft simulator ever 10/10.

Worth getting just to play through the Red War campaign. And its free. But then you get hooked. And then you spend money on all the expansions and season pass only to realise Shadowkeep and Vex Offensive sucks. And then you still give bungo your money for cosmetics anyway. 11/10 would spend again.

It would be unfair to simply label this as a remake of HL1 in the source engine. This game is a labour of love the devs have for the first game and it shows from the high quality and polish in everything from level design to character models and even voice work.

If you enjoyed the HL1, definitely get this. If you have never touched a Half Life game, don't bother with the dated graphics and play this instead.

Edit: I had written the review after having played through the 1.0 release version, which was fully playable, and without any major gamebreaking bugs. But months after my initial review, the devs are still hard at work, having further polished the game and released a definitive edition. If that is not an indication of dedication and labour of love, then I don't know what is.

Update 2018 Nov 22: While they have made several missteps along the way for year 3 (e.g. the debacle with the Asian market censorship, Chimera's OP operators and repetitive time-limited co-op campaign), the devs have continued to listen to the community and were wiling to backtrack on that issue, even if it meant additional dev work had to be done in order to accomodate these changes. Cautiously hopeful about this game's future, and looking forward to seeing what year 4 of Siege brings!

Update early 2018:
3rd year of support with free DLC containing operators and maps, no pay-to-win elements, developers open to feedback from players. Getting this game on sale is a no-brainer. Long live Siege!

Original Review:
High powered weaponry. Shooting people through the walls. High explosives that will tear down abovementioned walls. Creative gadgets that will either protect you or bring your opponents down. Rappel through windows like a badass.

Are these things that appeal to you? If your answer is "♥♥♥♥ yeah where do I sign up?", may I direct your attention to the buy button. You won't be disappointed.

Have never played a Tomb Raider game in my life till this one. 10/10 would recommend.

+ Lara Croft ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+ Awesome story and characters
+ High replay value (gotta find them GPS caches)
+ "LARAAAAA!" "SAAAAMMMMMM"

- Tombs are kinda easy to find (and raid)
- Hunting for XP feels kinda weird and half-assed. Isn't Lara supposed to hunt to survive or something?
