This game brings a whole new meaning of being afraid of the dark. In the small town of Bright Falls, writer Alan Wake takes a vacation for a first time in a while after his tour of his new book. Not having written anything in two years, he goes to clear his head with his wife to enjoy so peace and quite. Once the couple reach the town, all hell breaks loose that revolves around Alan. After a car crash, Alan wakes up to find out that he can't remember in the past week of being in the town. After soon finding out that his wife is missing, Alan does everything to get her back again, even if it means going to hell and back again. With the plot of the story revolving around Alan's missing wife, Alan must face the demons that he has created from a book he doesn't even remember making.

Over all, this game is really good when it comes to its story. The style of telling it from an almost 3rd person omniscient point of view really makes it interesting. The gameplay of the game is good as well; it's very fluid with the controls. Graphics wise, they could be a little better, but if you get invested in the story, you don't care about how the game looks; you just want to see how it ends. There are also very little to no bugs that appear as well. The only bug I had was when you're in an elevator and one of the npcs kept on running in circles the whole time. Other than that, nothing went wrong with the game.

I would have to give this game a 9/10. The storyline is very immersive, and the whole idea of the game is really interesting. With having no main complaints about the game, I would have to say, this game is one of my favorite horror games there is. The only thing I would have to say negative about this game is that the graphics could be a bit better (I don't really care about it that much to go into depth on the topic) and difficulty curve of each setting could be a little less drastic. Other than that, this game is one that should be on everyone's must-play list.

Deep in the uncharted planes of northern Greenland lays an abandoned mine. You start out the game as Phillip, a physicist who got a mysterious letter from his father who has been dead for 30 years. In the letter are coordinates to an abandoned mine, so you decided to go check out what your father has been trying to hide since his death. Upon arrival, you find yourself alone, scared, and defenceless . As you explore the mine, you decend deeper and deeper into the bowels of the Earth. Along the way, you slowly start losing grip on what is and isn't reality. I would give Penumbra Overture an 8/10. This game has a really great atmosphere and setting. The main down side to this game is that it can be a bit buggy from time to time, but 90% of the time it runs perfectly.

Easily one of my most favorite game series. This game is for players who want a decient scare but are also willing to get immersed in the story. Dead Space is about an engineer named Issac Clark who inspects the USG Ishimura, thinking there's a simple fix he and his crew have to do. Soon after boarding, all hell breaks loose as secrets are revieled and tensions become wavering. Soon after starting this game, you'll want to play it over and over again then going onto the next game. I easily give this game a 9/10; this game is completely bone chilling with its atmosphere, but sometimes has its occasional stupid but hilarious glitch. I recommend this game to all players and should be a must play game.
