With the rush of day to day operations, it's easy to lose focus and forget what the job is all about. As a reminder to all of you:

3) Control is in the delivery of information.
a) Knowledge is power.
b) Today, knowledge is based on information.
c) Controlling access to and the flow of information is the key to power.
d) With this power comes responsibility.

A bit simplistic, I admit, but it gets the point across.

I was avoiding this game in EA, because I was previously angry at the developers messing up Natural Selection 2 (compared to the classic version). But looking at the rating after release I have decided to give it a try. Now I know, that I had made a very good decision and this game deserves all the overwhelming high ratings. It is a very well put together game, rarely seen in the industry nowadays. (Escpecially in crowfunded and Early Access type games).
If you know No Man's Sky: I am not among those who are so upset on NMS. I think it has finally delivered what it promised in the last patches, but unfortunately the game mechanics became a bit boring for a rich exploration experience.
But Subnautica is 100 times more the fulfilled "dreamgame", what NMS was promised before. Its is hard to graps how did the developers manage to put so much content and depth into this game, while perfectly giving the true exploration experience (which is very hard to achieve in other games) with a single player storyline and sandbox environment. If there would be an Academy Award in the game industry as in the filming industry, you could bet that this game will be among the primary nominees soon, and it deserves all the credit. Of course, I have nominated it for the steam Game of the Year 2018 award.
