At first the name caught my attention, being a big fan of Kemono Friends and Devil May Cry... but once I started playing, I definitely fell in love with it.
I'm having so much fun with it. It has the satisfying combat of an action game without being too complicated, really cute aesthetics, all the friends are there and each brings their own special touch to combat.
The Story is suprisingly good too! super good actually! Without spoiling much, it goes into the darker side of the Kemono Friends story and it's really creative with some liberties, while still feeling in-universe.
The music can feel a tiny bit bland at first but I would be lying if I said I didin't like it. A lot of songs got stuck in my head and I found myself humming a few of them too. To be frank, I ended loving all of them in the end.

Kemono Friends Cellien May Cry is a really really fun passion project and I'm honestly amazed it's free. It's SUPER good for what it is! I really love it, and can't recommend it enough! Go play it!

So, it's really short, and the ending is really abrupt... uncomfortably so. I'll admit it made me sad to end like that, even if it is a "happy" ending. Thing is, it feels like the end of a demo... a beautiful demo at that! The story is good, the characters are amazing in my opinion... They all have their personality, stories, backgrounds and chemistry with each other. The world-building is also great. From the visuals, the music and what you're shown you can really feel the oppresive atmosphere of the city, while the main story remains comfy and relaxed. It really is very very well made, and you can tell it was made with a lot of love, which is what I appreciate the most. That and the little teaching it's giving.

It leaves you thinking, it does have a very good message to give and learn from. I personally feel sort of identified with the whole just trying to do what makes you happy without a real sense of direction in a really oppresive city, specially economically speaking (coming from someone in Argentina with an inflation rate of 64% lol).

Honestly, I really wish this would continue though. It really grabs your attention and mentions a few mysteries that are left as that, a mystery. Such as Mae knowing Iruko's mom and caring for him almost like one sometimes. Or also what became of of Iruko's plan with the girl and Sei. What became of them after that? What about Nubo and Mari? . There are so many things to explore and see how they turn out, I would really like a continuation of this someday. I really hope they continue the story someday!

Overall, it's a really good and comfy experience. Really recommend it to anyone, and I think there's a bit of everything for a lot of people.

I bought it for funsies but... I didin't expect to actually get some good advice from Sakuya... kinda hit me lmao. Funny, surprisingly deep. She definitely dabs. 10/10

Jokes aside, for a short "meme" game it's kinda wholesome. The advice she gives aren't bad at all, and could be found helpful for someone (like me lmao)

EDIT after a bunch more hours: Okay, so... Where do I begin? This is extremely wholesome. It's comforting, and idk about each one of your experiences but, at least in mine, this really helped me a lot. Whenever I'm feeling down I just come back to this, and the comfy and wholesome nature of it really improves my mood. If you come with a "hahah funny" mindset it can be cute and funny for a bit, but to me it actually became something real, a small little place I can come back to get some little advice and some comforting words.

The developer of this game is an angel. All of his games are just as beautiful, but this one has a special place in my heart.

I hope you enjoy this little personal comfort zone as much as I did!

I have a lot of fond memories with Starbound. It's really fun. At first it can be a bit complicated, too much stuff at once, but once you get the hang of it there's a lot of stuff to do. The modding experience is AMAZING. There's so much stuff being constantly added to an already full game.

Just like anything else, it's always better with friends. For me? It made the game infinitely better. The main story in Starbound is kind of meh, but with friends it can be much much better.

Overall it's a great (kinda classic now even) game to be played with friends, if possible. Lots of fun, totally recommend it (can't stress enough, try to play with friends!)
