Hey, if you like War of the Roses, you should try Mount & Blade: Warband, the online is pretty much the same but it has a campaing that allows you to join a kingdom and capture/defend its territory, or wait untill you have a large army take a over a castle or city by your own and create your own kingdom, and with a package of mods you can make the game be so real in terms of Political, Economic, Social and Military realtions.
