Fun relaxing game, fits well into the 'daily routine' of things.

However, no cloud-saves just cost me about a month worth of progress and with how slow the start of the game is I doubt I'm going to try and get that progress back.

The kind of game you have nostalgia for even if you didn't play the original.

=Pros=
-Odder and more detailed landscapes
-More Mudokons to rescue
-Farts in HD

=Cons=
-No original cinematics
-No original audio

----------------
Personally I don't mind the current art direction that Oddworld has been heading towards.

I understand the complaints about New 'n' Tasty being a lot less bleak and depressing than Abe's Oddysee was. There is a noticeable less amount of blood. Some landscapes of the factory feel brighter than they should be. And there was an odd choice about Mudokon Pops being censored from a severed head to a more consumer-friendly product.

However I feel as an Oddworld game by itself, it nails the tone of the universe perfectly. Not a lot of people enjoy the Oddworld titles after Exodus, so its understandable a lot of the themery feels offputting in New 'n' Tasty. Personally, New 'n' Tasty feels a lot more like it comes from the Munch's/Stranger's universe than it does the original two games.

If you enjoy Oddworld as a whole, and it's very immersive while also subtle lore then look no further than New 'n' Tasty.

However if you're looking for a pixel-perfect remake of Abe's Oddysee I've got some good and bad news. There are some levels that feel larger and different than they did in Abe's Oddysee. This is because the number of Mudokons to rescue is about 200+ more than the original game. Personally I don't think this is a bad thing, because it doesn't just wipe the existance of the originals. New 'n' Tasty is as the name implies, new. If you really want the OG experience, those games are sold on Steam as well.

New 'n' Tasty simply tries to push Oddworld further, being the first part of the rebooted quintology. Lorne Lanning always has a lot of high ambition, but remaking his original two games into more of the product he wanted to spend time on is a + for me. Even if it takes another good 5+ years, I hope we slowly but surely get more of the quintology in this new HD form.

Soulstorm will likely be serving more of a sequel than before. Instead of being viewed as a soft-spinoff I wouldn't be surprised if Lanning wants more of a cinematic direction. Heck, it originally was supposed to be the prelude to Munch's story. That never was put in because of time constraints.

Currently there are two multiplayer centered modes, 3v3 and 2v2.

VS. Ai mode currently offers more game-modes for practice.

Matches last once one team wins best two out of three points in a game. A point is earned after winning best two out of three matches the laser based gameplay.

PROS
-------
-Decent que times
-Variety of classes to choose from, not primarly focusing on just attack-classes
-Level progression system with large amounts of cosmetics to unlock
-2 different mods for each class

CONS
-------
-Matchmaking needs work, as it often ques low level players with veterans
-Occasional Network Connection problems, matches unexpectedly drop
-The Menu UI can be clunky at times, especially during match-over.

SUMMARY
-------
Decent concept, with a slight learning curve with the variety of classes given. Matches often can feel both fast-paced and intensive. Best 2 out of 3 matches to win a point, best 2 out of 3 points to win the game. With skilled players, matches can take upwards to 15 minutes+. Communication is very important, as your opponent can gain an advantage when you attempt to revive a team-mate.

Hopefully the developers continue to support the game and fix connection issues with the server. Other than that this game is very enjoyable so far, hope to see it grow even more.

Hat in Time is as close to a 3D Mario Platformer clone I've seen yet.

While the game has collect-a-thon elements, it shines in how Hat-Kid controls.

The tricks and strategies you can learn to improve your overall movement strikes a strong resemblance in a lot of the 'king of platformers' such as Mario and Banjo. This is important because even after the credits roll there are things to learn how to control Hat-Kid more efficiently/quickly through levels. The game offers a decent challenge in terms of platforming. It welcomes newcomers, while offers an extra layer of challenge for those who want it. Supposedly NewGame+ will be a part of the free DLC coming to this game. There is also Steam-Workshop for community made levels/

The games story is charming, and the voice-acting is on point.

The replayability is there, but is up the the player. There is a 100% incentive, but is more a self-accomplishment type of reward. I found myself going back because of how enjoyable a lot of the platforming levels tend to be.

9/10, if you're looking for a satisfying platformer itch look no further.

Voodoo Vince was one of those obscure Original Xbox games that didn't get much attention.

While this game itches a satisfy nostalgia itch, there are more reasons this game deserves some praise.

Original xbox emulation isn't easy, same goes for trying to port these type of games.

The pros and cons will be written with new-players in mind. For nostalgia players, this game is a must-buy. There is nothing I have to say convince you, it's a proper remaster. But for those who have never even heard of Voodoo Vince before, this is what you want to hear
--------------------------------
PROS:

-1080p 60+fps
-Controller support
-Updated textures from the original (2003 release)
-Smooth Platforming
-Foot-tapping soundtrack (Majority of which is Jazz)
-Rememberable voice acting, such as the main character Vince (Ken Boynton).
-Hubworlds with unique level design
-Devs that respond to community upsets via quality of life patches

CONS:
-Besides steam achievements, there isn't any sort of incentive to collect everything the game offers.
-Platforming can be unforgiving. With lives, you can find yourself resetting to the last checkpoint with a certain tricky spot.

MILD UPSETS:
-No 4k VR support or paid mods ;-)

--------------------------------

TL;DR: Voodoo Vince Remastered does pretty well for a 2003 xbox game. It's a lot like the TY remasters, the devs are listening to the community trying to make patchfixes that improve the quality of the game. If you ever played Voodoo Vince before, this is a must-buy. If you've never heard of the game, and are interested in platformers, it is worth the risk in my opinion.

From the masterminds of Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater comes another hilariously fun party game.

Grab a handful of friends or play solo, this game is just as wild of a ride as their other games.

"Oh great, another card game gimmick" was my first thought when I heard about Chronicle: Runescape Legends.

I was given beta access and decided, why not just give it a shot and see how it goes.

I personally don't play any popular online card games daily, but I understand how some of them such as Hearthstone work.

Chronicle: Runescape Legends does a very good job not being a standard card game clone. It feels very different in its own way.

If you enjoy the lore that Jagex has set up with Runescape, be it classic, Old School, or 3. Then it would help enjoying this game.

Pros:
+ Large depth in replaybility
+No in-your-face microtransactions
+ Calming setting that ties well with Runescape Lore
+̶ ̶N̶o̶ ̶E̶.̶O̶.̶C̶.̶

Cons:
+ Rival Character Models have an odd twitch

Overall: Simple card game that feels different from the rest. Charming, and helps if you enjoy Runescape. And hope that Jagex looks into using Steam as a future home for Runescape Classic, Old School, and maybe even 3.
