One of the worst F2P models I have ever seen. The game actually punishes you for playing it instead of rewarding you.
It can easily survive off of its cosmetics and mount store alone. So many essential things are locked behind the totally unnecessary $15 monthly sub.. Just your typical greedy EA nonsense.

Here's what you can expect if you're F2P:

• No rested XP
  
• Very limited inventory and bank space
  
• Cannot participate in raids
  
• Cannot equip purple gear (no reason to do Flashpoints..)
  
• You earn significantly less XP and rewards in everything you do
  
• You only get 2 crew skills
  
• Credits capped at 1 Million (this sucks alot for veteran players)
  
• Can only receive mail, you can't send a thing, not even to your own characters!
  
• Cannot add bays to legacy storage
  
• Chat characters restricted
  
• Auction house severely limited
  
• No access to guild banks
  
• Can only have 3 quickbars
  
• No trading
  
  
  Subs + micro transaction shop is just bad for consumers.

It's really frustrating to have to constantly leave and rejoin matches to try and get the role you want. I can't recommend until they add the ability to choose between Humans and Clowns when you queue up.

Frame drops? Yes

Denuvo? Yes

Micro-transactions? Yes

Tons of fun? Yes

I used the console to disable the bugged asteroids that were following my ship for half the game and now I don't unlock achievements. 😃

This is the game that Sea of Thieves should have been; I instantly fell in love with it.

Keep in mind, this is an early access product and should be treated as such. That being said, it scratches an itch I've had for years. There is a lot of room for improvement and I am really excited for Salt 2's future. Keep it comin' Devs!

Great game, terrible performance with near constant frame drops. Wait for this game to be properly optimized for PC; I wish I would have.

Really good as is, but could use a bit more content. Devs already have an excellent roadmap outlined.

Absolutely awesome game. I really hope to see a sequel in the Lupis Empire!
