I played JA2 and the associated mods for literally thousands of hours over the past ~24 years, I even still have the original two disk set. Despite all the advances in gaming in that time, I haven't found a turn-based game with the same scale, game-play and feel as JA2 and I always found myself going back to play it every couple years.

This isn't perfect but we finally have a worthy successor in the series and a developer that understands why people loved the previous games.

At 3000 hours, I guess it's OK.
