Reminds me of old top-down PC games from the 90s, specifically games like Spooky Castle: The Adventures of Kid Mystic from eGames. It looks unassuming on the surface, but Broken Armor is surprisingly fun, especially with the litany of $0.99 games on Steam. One life, no continues, it's very much arcade in scope. While some of the games mechanics I'm not a fan of, such as regular enemies erratically moving with no sense of pattern and no hit invincibility which can cause enemies to destroy your health, it's not that much of a detractor for me to have fun with what this game offers.

Early Access Review
If you love astronomy and/or have wanted to explore the cosmos in some way, shape, or form, this is definitely for you. I played the freeware 0.9.8.0 version for hours on end and supporting the developer with this version is something I gladly payed for. Here's to more updates and fun exploring the universe!

Design-wise, the game is pretty good. The only problems I have are the camera and control layout for a keyboard; you can't shift the camera, which can obstruct your view and not see what is ahead, causing to get hit by something you couldn't see coming in the first place.

The layout for the keyboard controls is fairly awkward. Allocating the fire button to "Alt," when it could've been put to either "Q" or "Space," coupled with no way to edit the control layout, is a design choice I don't entirely understand.

Other than that, the game plays and controls very smoothly and has an artstyle that seems reminiscent of Scott Pilgrim vs The World, which is pretty cool.

Move along. There's nothing here but a racing game with terrible controls, poor graphics, terrible user interface, and devoid of fun.

It's not afterbirth yet. It is still in the birthing process.

I gave it a shot. It's concept is interesting and the humor gave me some chuckles, but the gameplay for me was kind of clumsy; The jumping had input delay (not sure if that was fixed as of writing this), the camera and cursor felt odd, like it was on a grid which made looking around kind of clumsy, odd menu interface, and the walking and backtracking at such a slow pace was a bit of a pain. The game has a lot of potential, but it just wasn't for me.

Despite it pretty much being the game "Snake," NotGTAV can actually be very difficult at times, even with how simplistic the gameplay is. For people who want to get this game, I recommend doing so while it is on sale.

Pros:
+ Great/hilarious sound design
+ Simplistic, yet difficult gameplay
+ Hilarious graphics

Cons:
- Very little replay value, even with the achievements
- Acheivement notifications can obstruct your view at some points (especially the final level)
- This game is RNG hell
