This game activated my adrenalin like no other game has done before. I played the hell out of it while it still was in the works, with the demo version being released for browsers only, and the full release dropping on mobile and Steam a while later.

I first played it on mobile for free and decided to buy it on Steam anyway because it runs better, looks better, controls better and also lacks ads and microtransactions, compared to the mobile free version. I feel like THIS is the right way to play this classic game. Let's get into the gameplay, shall we? First of all, this game has some quite unique gameplay, because you could just call it a "2D racing game", but in further inspection it's wayyy more than just that.

The story can be a bit lackluster, but do you really need more lore to a game where you run over zombies and crates with various cars? Let's be honest here. No. That said, it does have starting and ending cutscenes nonetheless, and they explain the little they need to explain in the story. The game plays pretty much the same than the previous ones on the saga. You run over zombies and obstacles with a car, you get money for going further in the track and killing more zombies (among other things), you use the money to upgrade the car in order to get even further, rinse and repeat until you get to the end of the track and you eventually get a new car, and then you do the same thing until you finish all tracks and get to the end.

Sounds repetitive and boring, sure, but when you actually play the game, it's better than you might think. There's something about upgrading my car that feels rewarding, and then the adrenalin that kicks in when you have a mid to fully upgraded car and take it for a ride. The crates you break, the barrels you blast, the zombies you destroy and...flying.

Yes, my favorite part is flying. You might say "it's a car racing game, how the hell do you fly?!" but you see, there's this upgrade category called "Booster", which is pretty much a propeller with limited amount of fuel (activated by pressing Ctrl, a lot of people complain about this, but I personally don't care and use right Ctrl, works like a charm). It's stuck to the back of your car and helps it go faster by not only increasing speed, but giving it literal wings. When you go up a big ramp or any curve near a cliff or height, turn it on and you'll see how the car insteand of falling down to the floor like it should, will start to raise itself in the air and reach the sky (unless there's an obstacle of course). And it feels awesome. It sometimes even works as a shortcut to ignore all the obstacles and long paths by just flying over and ignoring them completely.

Oh, did I forget to mention you can BREAK your car in this game? Yeah, by hitting a part of the car with enough speed or falling down a certain height, the car's affected parts will lose durability and health, causing it to break down and be torn into shreds with enough punishment received. I love this feature. It goes from just making slight marks on the steel and cracking windshields, to obliterating the engine and sometimes even splitting the car in half, making it lose a wheel and disorganize weight distribution, but most importantly, THE FACT THAT YOU CAN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SPLIT YOUR CAR IN HALF IN THIS GAME!!! 10/10 would lose my driving license again

This game is the epitome of something that can't go wrong. Something with a true idea of total freedom. No restraints. No rules. Sandbox genre games often fail at their objective of offering true freedom to their players one way or another, but Garry's Mod is different. Let's start with the answer to the question "What does freedom TRULY mean?", now, I don't want to get too philosophical or anything, but freedom is about being able to do whatever you want if you know how to, and GMod fits that description perfectly. This game has brought so many people together, and it may not have the biggest fanbase, but probably more than 80% of people on Steam know what the game is about and have seen some sort of animation or played it directly. Hell, even half of my friends list owns this game! And you know why? Because why not. The entire premise of this game isn't "why", it's "why not". 10$ for a versatile, fun, and timeless gameplay. Even though I may seem like I have only owned this game for a few months, my relationship with it started 6 years ago, when by, well, you already know how I may have gotten this game without owning it. Don't make me say it, I want to keep my acount please. Well basically I've had this game with me for long, and only have experienced multiplayer recently. This game is just a masterpiece. I'm out of words when it comes to explaining its perfection and overall infinite replayablity. Team Fortress 2 is fun and silly, Half-Life is deep and interesting, Counter-Strike is strategical and tactical, Portal is mindbending and quirky, Left 4 Dead is survivalistic and chaotic, and Garry's Mod can be, has been and will be all and more of those things forever. It's impossible to explain how necessary playing this game at least once a day is for me, and probably other people too. Just go ahead and click that fat, green "buy" button, because no matter how much times you come back to it and either do something different or the same thing over and over again, it will always be the best game I have ever played, wether or not I play it the most.

I think it is a great game. Classic 2000's Valve FPS with plenty of effort put into it throughout the years, a strong, supporting community and it's easy to learn for newer players. It has this amazing economy that could be seen like a simulation of real-world economy, complete with currencies and with ever changing values for all items. There's the cosmetics, that are awesome complements to the title's cartoony artstyle, there's also weapons that introduce new mechanics or entire playstyles for their respectives classes and dozens of maps and modes that you just can't get enough of. Also, put some money in it. Believe me. It's worth it.

An absolute CLASSIC. I get those 2005-2010 PC game vibes when playing. The menus, the music and pretty much every other thing just brings me back. The only Tower Defense game casuals will love. I, personally, like all TD games, but PvZ is just too special. It's quite cheap for a game with so much content, you know? Not only do you have the main game, but you have minigames, puzzles, survival (endless is a blast), the almanac, the achievements, the zen garden, the Crazy Dave's shop...so much things! I love how each and all of these little features could be games on their own, but they come packed together, which just gives them even more value to play. You're never wasting your time when playing this game, it just feels so good. 10/10 would use corn cobs as ballistic missiles again
