Half-Life is one of the most timeless 90's PC games, at least gameplay-wise.
The game follows the adventures of Gordon Freeman, a 27 year old therotical physicist who works at a mysterious scientific research facility called "Black Mesa", located deep within New Mexico's rocky underground areas. The game starts with a monorail ride that gives the player a look at the ambience. The soundtrack that plays during said ride gives chills up the spine and feeling of dread to any first-timer. After finishing the sequence, the player arrives at Sector C, where they have to start rushing toward the testing chamber, not before getting a Mark IV HEV Suit to put on as a security measure.

I won't spoil much of the rest, and I don't want to make the review a 20 page long explanation of the lore, so I'll get to the technical and gameplay side of the game. First off, you may have noticed the visuals are a bit rough. This is usually something most players can get over quickly, as with any other old-school 3D first-person shooter.

However, if you really think the graphics are affecting your experience, but you're still eager to play it, you may also try Half-Life: Source, an official Valve port of the game to Half-Life 2's signature engine, Source, or you could also play Black Mesa, a full-on remake of the original game on a brand-new engine that not only massively improves its outdated visuals, but also has some gameplay changes and expansion of certain chapters and maps.

Anyway, getting back on topic, Half Life seriously made the entire gaming industry rethink the purpose and possibilities of a story-driven FPS title. After all, shooters back then were thought to be short, fun and chaotic experiences, like Wolfenstein and DOOM. Half Life however, while still keeping gunplay a priority, gave space for a story and plot. Story-driven games did exist, but they were usually RPGs that required really long dialogs and walls of text to explain the lore, and included primitive (or none) gunplay, like the first Fallout for example. Half Life however, needed no more than a few hundred voicelines and implicit story telling to deliver a plot, which is quite the achievement event to this day, where first-person shooters still struggle to deliver stories in a meaningful and interesting way.

In short, great game, and the first shooter I ever played that got me hooked on its lore. 10/10 would beat zombies to death with a crowbar again

Little Inferno is a short, sweet and intriguing trip that stuck with me during the whole 4 hours and a a half it took me to beat it. I found out about this game a long time ago via gameplay videos on YouTube but only got my hands on it recently.

It's definitely an experience that will stay with you for months after playing. There's something free and sanbox-ish about this game that isn't like any other that I've played. You feel like you have total freedom over everything, but soon you'll start wondering about the things you can't control. The limits outside your Little Inferno Interactive Furnace™. You can't even see them, let alone manipulate them. Every once in a while, you receive are letters from the owner of Tomorrow Corporation, Miss Nancy and weather reports from the Weather Man, via mail as well.

I won't spoil much else of the story for now, I think this game doesn't deserver to be ruined like that

Helltaker is a pretty unique game compared to the kinds of games I usually play. That said, I am quite familiar with puzzle games in general, but turn-based puzzles? Not so much. The puzzles spike up in difficulty really fast, I and II are basically a walk in the park but anything above III (including III itself) are a pain to solve. It's strange that they added an infinite use, consequence-less skip button for all puzzles. I never skipped a single puzzle (I did use a walkthrough in a couple though). The final boss fight took me off guard for sure, I seriously wasn't expecting a dynamic, fast-paced boss fight out of a puzzle game. The first part of the boss fight was really easy, only 2 tries is what I needed to beat it. The second part was a bit harder, taking me 7-8 tries in total. The third part was kinda difficult too but OH MY GOD THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FOURTH PART. 36 tries or EASILY more. Still, pretty fun. At last, every single girl in the game is cute asf and both the secret and normal endings were really satisying. 14 pancakes out of 10

This game is very interesting, but it need some fixes and I'm here to talk about that. So first things first, an update. This game hasn't had an update since 2017, it's been 3 years now. The game could definitely use some new content or mechanics, like for example, more weapons, store decorations or even if it's possible, a manual save system. The game just feels a bit dull and repetitive after a while, especially with the grey and dark atmosphere of the store and the mundane routine that starts to get remarkably boring a few hours into the game, so store decorations and more weapons would make the gameplay feel more varied and interesting. About the save feature, it's more of a second option if you can't add more variety into the game. Why is that, you might ask? Because if it does eventually get boring, I would want to quit or take a break from the game for a moment, but I can't do that if I'm in the middle of the day because all the progress would be lost, as the game only ever saves during your sleep. After all that, mores sprite would be cool too, as there's like 3 NPC sprites that are used over and over, and make the experience way more generic, so a few more sprites (say, 3 per type) would add a lot to the gameplay. Also, not important or necessary, but a bit more detail to the sprites themselves (if possible) would be nice. Like multicolor clothing, and more facial features (not things like eyes or mouths, as the game's art style is supposed to be more minimalistic). At last, one thing that would change the way the game feels is a more "durable" gameplay type. With manual saves, extra store features and ramp-up difficulty, the game would feel less like a disposable mini-game and more like a life-long experience that goes on forever and has more ways of keeping your progress. Overall, I can't give a rating because the game still needs a LOT more content to be considered "finished", even if it's no longer in development, it doesn't feel right to give a rating to something that needs more time to work.

Geometry Dash is a game like no other, a fast-paced platformer. This game changed history for what the definition of "hard" was back in the day, making thousands of people enraged every day since launch. I, personally, have a long history with this gem. I remember it being really popular. If you completed the latest top insane, you were literally GOD at school. Things have taken a sad turn since, because GD was doomed to end its popular phase early, and lose a lot of players. You may ask "But why?". Simple. The game was too difficult and frustrating, people would get tired of yelling and crying at it, particularly young folks, who were the ones that started the popular phase in the first place. I'm sad the game got out of mainstream, because now the achievements and goals people reach no longer matter as much as they did back then, with now only a small community to appreciate all the time and effort put into said achievements and milestones. I remember playing it on mobile. Ahh, the good old days. The PC version is infinitely better, I must admit. Better graphics, better performance and of course, WAY better controls, but it's hard not to feel nostalgic about the past regardless. 10/10, would yell at a square for 2 hours again

Intrusion 2 is an indie sidescroller shooter straight outta 2012, made as a sequel to the original Instrusion, a short flash game that had its own small success.
Additionally, a demo containing no more than just the first 3 chapters was also made in flash and was even more popular around the internet.

This game is both awesome and old-school. The shooting is kind of hard to get comfortable with, since bullets are slower than they should be and dodging is essential to survive.
The game has a lot of interesting little fun mechanics, such as the ammo crates and mechs.

The game has several achievements, some of them hidden and other just take a while to get. Overall, easy game to complete with enough dedication.

But let's get into the best part of the game...the atmosphere. No voices or story to speak of. You start the game landing on the middle of some snowy mountain and shooting small robots, but you advance further knowing this isn't a simple shoot-whatever-you-see game, you find several tents and cargo, all from the same company or organization.
These robots start getting ridiculously advanced-looking and shortly after that you'll start coming across soldiers and other living military units to fight. You notice a pattern here.

There's something scheme-ish going 'round.

The mysterious and intriguing soundtrack just makes you feel a bigger hunch than before. Do you understand what does it mean to tell a story with no cutscenes or voices? Quite a lot. And this one doesn't need much speculation either.

Oh, was I talking about the OST too? Well, the music KICKS ASS in this game, 12/10, astounding. The music is also really good at foretelling what is going on, much like the ambience.

The bosses are tough and also really fun to fight (except you Dan and Maki, ♥♥♥♥ you both) and are really well designed, with cool-looking moves and great concepts executed perfectly. I might be the 5000th person saying this, but I'm saying it again because it's true. THIS GAME NEEDS MORE ATTENTION! There
