I cannot recommend this game enough!
I don't review games. I hate them or like them, and the world may never know. But I felt this one needed a review.
It is an early access game, but it has enough content to justify a 17 dollar price tag.
The mechanics scratch so much itch for a survival game, and the top down works so well for me. I hope the developer completes this title, and saves the systems they have been using for grander games.
Could there be more QoL? Sure. There are plenty of titles anyone can say about that. But I am satisfied so far with what the game has to offer at its price, and it will get a 8/10 (Early Access Rating) from me.

So, take my review with a grain of salt, since I got only about 43 minutes in before I decided to refund. This is where I really wish Steam had something other than just bad or good, especially when it comes to EA. Since I have no choice but to choose one or the other, you can see my recommendation (you know how to do that). The game-play idea is really awesome, and I like that, but how the game presents itself very early on, with just how you have to build the ship and clone the people from the main menu..I think that could be implemented better, like the game itself. I returned the game because when it took me almost an hour just to get to the people getting on the ground, well that's a turn off. And then it decided to crash a minute after. Another turn off. I have no doubts that if the dev keeps at it, he will make this game what he envisions it to be. But like I've said, its EA so i 100% get it. Bugs are expected, crashes that shouldn't happen will happen, but I cannot recommend purchasing it for 25 bucks. I recommend putting this title, that hopefully becomes a gem, on wishlist and keep close watch like I will. I highly enjoyed this rendition of Gothic! This is something I would buy for full release!
Since it's just a playable teaser, I understand that there's load to be flushed, but as a teaser it hit the spot. Looking forward to a hopeful full release!

EDIT: After full release, the game is still as janky, and unfinished as it was in BETA. This was released when it should not have and is in no way a complete game. My original review from a few years ago below.

Its a game with big aims and bigger potential. So far I've played the stable releases, but getting access to the beta shortly.
The ui so far does need some love, but I'm sure that can come in time. Combat sometimes feels a bit clunky, but I am trying to get used to it so far.
I would recommend in its current state for the current price.

Loving creating so far! Can't wait to complete something!

Do I recommend this game? YES
The game launch was a disaster. Yet where many games would tuck tail, grab as much income as possible and bail, Hello (the dev) stuck with it. They turned this game into everything it should be. Now we are getting true multiplayer and VR!
NOW is the time to pull the trigger on this game.
To the devs: Thanks for doing the right thing.

If you're looking for a game where you can destroy anything that exists, and craft out of those materials this is a game for you. If you're looking for a game that doesn't have hackers galor if you open up your multiplayer game, this ISN'T for you. But what I find most revolting is the toxic forum and community. There is a moderator who plays god on that forum, who really feels tough locking and deleting any thread opening any discussion up about the downs of the game and how they should be improved. What does that mean? That means the devs have given him that power and allow him to have it, also meaning they don't want to listen to community suggestions. Until they install better communication via a better liason than this moderator, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT GET THIS GAME. It started out strong, but it's clear this game will not make it out of ALPHA. You want an alpha always game, then be my guest. But don't say I never warned you.
As an update from this review, it continues. These devs are continuing to say deadlines that get push back, and instructed their moderators to find anyone who asks for better progress and lock them down. DO NOT INVEST. Game is dead.
