Hell of a game. I don't write reviews often but I just wanna say this game is a unique gem. Yes, some QoL mods are preferred. Yes, the initial learning curve is there. But give it some time and it'll grow on you. 7/10, possibly higher, but I'm still fairly early game. A LOT of mining, but a man's got to make a living some how.

I would not recommend, at least for now. The single player early game is somewhat fun. The combat mechanics are somewhat enjoyable. It's fun to ally with a larger kingdom, amass troops, and join their wars. Maybe get a castle out of it. Fun.

What isn't fun is the lack of content, especially mid/late game. What isn't fun is the poor optimizations. What isn't fun is the repetitive game play. What isn't fun is raiding a bandit base just to find the same map/area that you've raided 50 times over. What isn't fun is managing companions. What isn't fun is the siege battles where my high-end PC gets 2 FPS all of the sudden. What isn't fun is the lack of real quests. What isn't fun is the buggy quests. What isn't fun is the boring trading system.

Etc. Etc. Etc. There's a lot of cons to this game. Until it has been updated, and made more stable, I won't be playing again. I almost got 300 hours out of it, and maybe only 30 of those hours were worth it. Save your money, or go buy Total War or Civ 6 or something.

Just play this game. Wonderfully fun and creative.

The art direction threw me off at first, but it's actually endearing and interesting. The gameplay is just a 10/10. Never had an issue.

My SO loves Harvest Moon, and told me I should buy this game so we can play it together. It has turned out to be one of the sweetest, most beautiful games I have played in recent history. The atmosphere of the game is amazing, and there is a bit of depth as well. Would recommend!

Bought this years ago with the hopes that it would one day be out of early-access alpha. almost 5 years later... and??
