OCD beware.. you'll need patience or experience with existing Asset Editor utilities to keep your streets and zoning in line. I needed a title to play offline during long night shifts staring at the same four walls, and I found it in this game. Satisfying number-increasing game that really just seems to award you for balancing the needs with some budget tweaking, awarding you with progressively more complex and cosmetic structures. Building an efficient cargo train line may be expensive, but in exchange for upkeep costs and the time it takes to re-assemble your city with a train line running through it, you can take a massive piece of cargo truck traffic out of your city. While it won't entirely remove the AI preference for shipping by truck, and this requires you to expand in one direction and usually twice, it does feel rewarding to see the angry red traffic UI fade to an aggravated yellow-orange. Meticulously tweaking roadways, policies, bus lines and budgets to further maximize whatever it is you feel your city should be achieving is a great time sink when you need to feel productive while managing increasing red and green numbers. Not overly complicated to play, but the tools and mods exist to become as in-depth as you might wish.

This title is what caused me to truly fall in love with games on a design level - World design, music, sound, graphics, storyline, dialogue, art, and engine. This is going to be more than a bit biased.

By far this is one of the most inspirational games of my childhood. The alien world that these characters, ambiances, settings, and beautiful soundtrack immerses me in bring me back into the nestalgia of how this game would fire my imagination, and made me so eager to learn about the strange island of Vvardenvel.

The renouned TES Theme, huge open world, and seemingly endless quest and story content to me at the time, with an easy to use Editor Tool, this is a great gem once you get past the step of the game not telling you how to succeed past teaching you the controls. I highly recommend this piece but am unable to give an unbiased number rating, so I won't. Just know if you're willing to be patient with a game, and love the fantasy genre, prepare for many hours of immersive adventure.
