i have an i5 7400 3ghz quad core + amd radeon rx 460 2gb ddr5 and it ran fine (well, if you think 40fps is fine) even on the more demanding maps, though i did use one of the pre-made configs the game was packaged with because of the stock settings being absolute garbage
also you're kinda right about the potato performance, like i said even with a NASA computer your game will barely run on some maps if demanding enough, this is due to OMSI 2's prehistoric unoptimized 32bit engine, this game is for the people that really really really want to drive buses as accurate to real life as possible
SO i refunded until it's playable on cutting edge hardware lol
from the laggy 2-3 minutes i played it felt pretty good
if you're not entirely sure whether to get omsi 2 or not, there are a ton of gameplay videos and reviews on youtube that might change your mind
you can also try the game and later refund it if it turns out it's not quite what you're into (provided that you spend less than 2 hours on it and 14 days don't pass after the purchase, but you can still submit a request even if you missed the requirements)
CAN I, like in real life, inertia drift a bendy bus down a steep series of corners? :D
i love proper simulators like beamNG drive
it's on sale right now and i have a bus fetish that can't be itched by what i've played so far
