This is still rough around the edges, but this is still the Animal Crossing spiritual successor that I was desperately craving. The art direction is bangin', the characters are loveable, and it's so relaxing to just be able to pop in and out on my Steam Deck at work.

I occasionally notice some dropped frames and the camera still glitches out in some spots, but I have confidence that these things will be patched out soon. I think there are some adjustments needed to the shop + crafting, but I will leave that to more number-oriented brains to explain. I'm stupit.

agree w/ others that there's not much replayability atm BUT!! there are awesome building blocks (lol) here for an awesome game. 10/10 would waste time playing this again

Had a run-ending bug 9 hours into a file, and instead of ragequitting I started a new file. I'm having even more fun the second time around now that I have my bearings.

If you don't mind spending $40 on the ugliest, bloomiest game known to man and have a powerhouse computer that can run this poorly optimized hunk of junk, go for it. It's dumb but I'm having fun.

I used CSP for years, but after impulsively switching to Linux I struggled to find a (legal) way to get it working. I went out on a limb and bought Krita (knowing full well there was a free version) and holy cow I have not regretted it. It has every functionality (that I used, anyways) that I paid like $150 for with CSP! Worth every cent. If you're skeptical just try the free version first and then come back and give the devs some love.
