I usually try to play a game for 20 hours before writing a review. However, I'm writing a review this one with about 16 hours of playtime.

I think this game is awesome. It may not be as good as PoE. But so far, I am having a ball. I think it's worth a purchase. Despite the low scores from places like PC gamer (who have broken their scoring system - they gave WoW legion a 90), this game has some fun combat and some interesting dialogue. As so far, my choices have seemed to matter a great deal in the game. But my favorite part so far is character creation and development.

I'm not the biggest fan of the amount of stuff you have to do with the Batmobile. Despite that I really enjoy this game. The story is good and well paced. There are a lot of ways to take down enemies.

This game is even better than the classic version. And the classic version was amazing.

Pros

(1) Despite being somewhat lighthearted, the story is engaging.

(2) Multiplayer is just fun.

(3) Character development is detailed.

Cons

(1) Sometimes I wish the game, especially the story, took itself a bit more serious. A little grimdark would have saved the day.

(2) Character creation/custimization. Needs more races. Needs more portraits - it is weird to have the actual character models have many more looks than portraits. I know that shouldn't be a big deal. However, it feels funny to be unable to find a picure that resembles your character.

Pros

I'm addicted to this game and this series. It looks beautiful on a good PC. I personally feel that this game pulls you into it...really good emersion. It's not a long game. I suspect, that it must be hard to make a game this beautiful last too long. Additionally, the cut scenes are well done and nicely paced throughout the story.

Cons

Again, its short. It's not really an open world game, but it is not truly linear. You have some choices of how fast your want to spend in a zone. If you are into full completion, then there are some nice ways to spend your time. Most of the puzzles aren' necessary to progress through the game and this is why it is probably so short.

Another issue I have with the game is sometimes they make Laura's problems so overwhelming that it breaks through the emersion. I mean there is no reason for her to fall through every ice trap slide, nasty pool of water, or fall through every thin ice floor. ALso, sometimes she is a bit over the top in her excerbations. I mean this woman will sometimes kill 20 men in rapid succession and then get overwhelmed by running too fast.

Anyway, I recommend this game. It's like playing in a movie. I think it is an improvement over the first game. And I look forward to the next game. Hopefully, it will get released to all systems at the same time next time around.

I know people have problems with this game. It is no Baldur's Gate. It is not Original Sin. The main campaign lacks a bit of free-choice. However, it's fun.

Yes, I'm going against popular opinion on this one. While I prefer more grimdark in my life, there is always a place for a Wizards' of the Coast story.

Pros

There is a decent amount of customization. The story is decent. There is some replayability if for no other reason than to try your hand at the different combat styles. I haven't played the multiplayer. It sounds intriguing.

Cons

It seems a little rushed. A little rough around the edges. I ran into a bug where all my characters lost there equipped armor. This was a bit painful because i was in the middle of a dungeon. However, it only happened once so far. Otherwise, I haven't had any significant problems.

I recommend this game especially if you find it on sale.

I should start by saying that I am huge fan of the last game and I came in with the highest expectations. My only problems for the first game were (1) character customization and (2) the lighthearted nature of the story.

Well, so far, Original Sin 2 has fixed those problems with a jackhammer. I mean the customization isn't perfect, but it is leagues improved from the last game. And the tags are awesome. As for the nature of the story, it is much more grimdark. Plus, with the tags, you can already tell there will be tons of replayability.

The game is beautiful. And it's scary to know that this game is going to get so much better. Heck, knowing this studio, we'll probably get an enhanced edition.

This isn't a full game and I don't usually recommend games in early access, but considering the source and based on how much fun I've had with this, I have to recommend. it.

I love this game. It isn't perfect. However, besides Divinity Original Sin, this is the best thing since toasted bread. Nothing is better than throwing the difficulty all the way up, and setting it for trial of iron. Nothing like really caring if your character dies (No pause/task manager quits either). It isn't perfect, but it's great.

Pros

(1) strategy - depending on the level you play at, you better take a moment to seriously consider how you are going to win a fight.

(2) Party makeup choice - I have played with several different party make ups, and there really is no right way to play.

(3) customizable/toggleable difficulty

(4) detail

(5) There are some cool things to try - for example kill everyone at the initial camp site and be amazed at the gem you get for that accomplishment.

Cons

(1) The game has a very convoluted plot. I'd say that it has as much or more backstory as the Dragon Age trilogy all stuffed into one game.

(2) I don't feel that the choices are as meaningful as they should be. I say that despite some choices leading to some straight-forward different consequences. But in a game where you can kill a mad duke, there should be some more serious world shaking consequences.

(3) Some minor things: No multi-classing, bizarre over-complicated health/stamina system; and No Romance

(4) My personal pet peeve in an RPG - the game doesn't respect rogues. I think the the the entire rogue system is broke. Everyone can sneak. And the rogue has significant functionality in the game.

I recommend this game. And it deserves a few play throughs.

I think if you liked Fallout 3/New Vegas, then you'll love this game. The graphics are less than impressive compared to Witcher 3, but it's fun to play. There are bugs, but they are expected with this series. My biggest problem with game is the dialogue. It really seems to take a step back. WIth all this being said, the game still sucks you in. Give it a go.

I love this game. It's too short, but it has good replay value. Well worth the money.
