PoE2 is life

Too addictive

Probably, the second best game I played in 2024. It looks like Diablo and has loot like Diablo 2…but it’s also dark souls 3. Sad that it’s the only for me to define. A better gamer could do it more Justice. That’s not me. All I can say is if you like Diablo 2 and dark souls 3, wait till you get a load of their baby NRFW.

This game is far from perfect. I am not a fan of the way upgrading loot rarity works in the game. It appears to be based on RNG with a limited number of chests to give you the chance to upgrade this items. In my playthrough, I open most chest and failed to upgrade two items I really liked past blue. As a result, in the end game I want able to upgrade them to legendary. I’m not sure why anyone though using the gacha system or ttcg upgrade system made sense for a single player RPG.

Another issue I had was the side quests. Specifically, the companion side quests. At times, it felt like I was on a yo-yo as I would complete a companion quests, and then be immediately asked to go back to where I just left for a “short conversation.”

So why do I recommend. The combat system is ultimately fun, and it is one of those rare cases where the final act is pretty good. This game is like Horizon Zero Dawn with slightly more RPG feel. Also, this game has the best hair tech I’ve ever seen in a game. If 60 is too much for you, it’s definitely worth it on a sale.. 7.5/10

For clarification, my top three games are always in a flux (Elden Ring, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous). I’ve played through base game numerous times. And I loved each and every minute. I can’t wait to replay it. I love all the build options. With the build options, there is just no end to the player choice. Of course, the story is convoluted and you will need secondary sources to help with it unless you are an archeologist in your day job. But at all times it’s and epic experience in a huge world. The first playthrough will likely be the best. So much to see. So much more to do. 10/10

This is probably the best party rpg ever made. So many standout companions. The story is amazing. The build options are amazing. The choices you make can change the campaign and your play style. The power fantasy is real. Be a sorcerer and walk around in dragon form. And I mean huge dragon form. Be a paladin. He’ll be a hell knight. This game is epic in almost every way. 10/10

Busted launch but you know how gamers always complain that games don’t have an offline mode. Well this did. So everyone can play while they fix online.
