I lack the intellectual capacity to accurately describe how brilliant this game is in virtually every way.
Will be playing this for years.

It's every bit as good as you're probably sick of hearing about; more accessible for scrubs, more viable builds, and you can bet there'll be quality DLC which actually benefits the replayability and general gameplay experience still to come.
Fromsoft art, atmosphere, soundtracks and game mechanics are always a cut above, but they're still somehow keeping it fresh for players of previous Souls titles and pretty much just generally showing off.

Get game, get gud.

Good: deep crafting system, best combat of any MMO I've played, excellent graphics (except for player models and most weapons/armour).
Bad: endlessly buggy and exploitable, questing is a bit repetitive, PvP is largely inaccessible until higher levels.

It's a fun time with others, but Amazon should be fixing issues a heck of a lot quicker than they are for the amount of money they have and for how long the game's been in testing. Proceed with caution.

If games were RPG stat blocks, this one specced heavily into graphics, sound design and atmosphere.
Combat and exploration are kind of the dumpers, but the game is very good at what it's aiming to do. The blindness section was particularly enthralling (if you have your gamma set correctly and don't use the focus function).
Not bad at all (especially for an independent studio), though I stopped caring about the story by the end, and putting a terrible pop song over the final credits is always a dumb idea.

Gorgeous, well-optimised, frenetic and incredibly enjoyable. The guns feel good and are versatile, there's a metric butt ton of secrets and collectibles, and the difficulty scaling works.

A rare reboot that gets virtually everything right, and a true return to form for the greatest FPS series to exist.

Skryim with guns is not a bad thing.

Is it "still a Fallout game"? No, probably not anymore.
Are features missing from previous iterations in the series? Sure are.
Is the settlement building shoehorned-in and derivative? Absolutely.

It's still great.

By far the best rendition of Borderlands to date.

The guns feel more satisfying and varied, the controls and mechanics have been tightened, the cringier humour has been toned down (somewhat) and the environments looks absolutely fantastic.

Can almost forgive it for the year of Epic Store exclusivity. Almost.

EDIT: Never mind, ignore the positives; Ava is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worst.
EDIT: And the ending is inconceivably ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nauseating.
