Can't recommend the game in its current state, which is a shame because it has so much going for it.
First and foremost is balancing, there are a couple characters in this game that seem to be just ridiculously stronger than other characters. Thats not a dealbreaker for a newly released game since there will always be nerfs and buffs and players become accustomed to the game. The thing that concerns me is the fact that the most overpowered characters are the premium ones you have to unlock. It could be coincidence, but its not a good omen.
Second is the method for unlocking the new characters. You can purchase EVO coins for a new gundam (its about 10$ which is stupidly expensive). The non-premiums currency is Capital, which is way too slow to obtain. Unlike most other games, you dont unlock capital through completing missions, but rather challenges. The problem is you need to complete all challenges on a list to unlock new ones, and the current list of challenges has one where you need to log in multiple days for increasing amounts of time, which gates your ability to earn capital. Completed all the challenged but the "log in 4 days in a row" one? Sorry but your not getting any new currency for 4 more days. While I can't blame a f2p game for wanting to incentivize players spending money, the way they're currently doing it is very aggressive and is terrible for the long term health of the game.
Lastly is the maps. Save for a few they're all very tight with many bottlenecks. Some maps even have literally one entrance to the objective, meaning most the game will be spent with players just trading shots through this doorway as theres no area to flank. Very few maps play with verticality as well, which is tragic since the mechs have hoverjets, movement abilities that let them jump around, or even ones that let you turn into an airplane and fly.
Again, its really a shame since the game has a lot of potential, and it is free so its worth checking out if it sounds interesting, but if they don't change these issues it will probably be dead in 2 months so I'd heavily recommend avoiding spending money of the game.

It feels like someone took every single consumer-hostile practice from EA and made it into the core mechanic of the game.

Mildly populated game, might play considering there's a chance you will get into a match outside the one spike of medium activity, 50% enjoyable memeing with friends in private.

It has less than four hours of gameplay and while the story has this whole build-up that sounds like it's gonna be some awesome consipiracy with different things, it literally has one of the worst, least convincing endings I've ever seen.

Company of heroes 2 british DLC is pretty good.

The game is very highly reliant on you being ok with trial and error, so it may take a few tries to beat. After you get through it however, the game itself isn't that long, but the fact that you have to keep doing it over and over makes it long. I bought it on sale for 3 bucks and it was worth it then. Full price might be worth it, if you like games where you keep retrying the same thing, but outside of that it was quite fun.

I've played alot of different mobas (dota, league, smite, strife) and I have to say, dota 2 is one of worst. 90% of the hero roster is ungodly overpowered, and you might say "If everyone is overpowered, then technically noone is TRULY overpowered." Well I can assure you that is false. What happens is that if you begin to lose even the slightest amount, the person your losing to becomes god and is almost impossible to defeat. I know people are going to hate me for comparing it to this, but for example, in league of legends, a person can get quite fed, but you can still turn it around if you are good enough. However in this game, there reaches a point where this is physically nothing you can do. Not a damn thing. And you might think that my recommendation sounds like its coming from someone who is just pissed because they lost a bunch of games, but I did win my fair share and it still felt like an overall bad design for this game. The shop is confusing, theres alot of balance issues, the map is difficult to understand where you can and can't go, and it's overall just not a good game.

I like this game as a whole, but it has more than it's fair share of bugs. Seeing as it's early access, this is completely understandable, but nevertheless I'm just mentioning it does have quite a bit. Some scripted sequences or animations may not happen, enemies may not actually attack you, and on some rare occasions, my computer restarted out of nowhere, only while playing this game. Nevertheless, the game is fun, it does increase the graphics very well, and the sense of nostalgia was still there. I'm just saying it may be worth waiting for it to be fully released, when hopefully all the bugs are fixed.
