Wasted 30 dollars on this garbage, waste of time. Atrocious writing, horrible balance, ♥♥♥♥ voice acting, mediocre gameplay, I only enjoyed it slightly because I played in co op with my friends. Never replaying.

Easily the best Resident Evil game since RE4. A perfect mix of RE4 and RE7's mechanics and design, it's just a badass game. It is more action oriented than 7, but don't think the game is completely lacking in scares. Especially one particular section scared the hell out of me. First playthrough took me about 9 and a half hours, having done most of the side stuff possible (might be something I missed.) Also has the awesome return of Mercenaries mode, plus plenty of things to unlock, so it's absolutely worth your money. Buy it.

Don't play this game if you value your sanity

Really good game if you go in with the right expectations, if you loved TW3 for it's writing, worldbuilding, dialogue etc., you will love this too. The characters feel so real, and the relationships you build with them equally so. It is also visually one of the most stunning games I've seen, particularly at night time. The soundtrack is damn good, just like TW3's was, with also a great selection of radio songs. Combat is very good with a lot of variety in your weapon choices and cyberware that can change the way you play, it's a bit like an immersive sim in an open world, think Deus Ex or the modern Prey reboot. That being said, the technical issues can't be ignored, so while I highly recommend this game based on it's content, I would advise you wait a couple of months, at least till after February when the second major patch is due, before picking it up.

Resident Evil 3 as a remake of the original falls short in many aspects, but as it's own standalone RE title, and as an action horror game, it's quite good. The presentation is excellent, this version of Jill is one of the best yet, Carlos' update character is much better, the gameplay is fun like RE2R was, with new additions to make it feel fresh, graphics are gorgeous, and Nemesis, when he's allowed to be himself, is scary as hell.
