Tl;DR:
Have not played pvp, but pve with friends is great, but could be better

Long version:
+Combat system
+Ambiance of the game
+Sun mechanic
+Non-combat npcs
+Boss fights that can be challengeing
+Early crafting system
+Castle building with the flooring system

-No teleport with resources on pve settings
-Garlic and silver mechanics feels a bit out of place
-Creature/boss element weekness doesn't seem to be existing (idk if it is supposed to do)
-Durability mechanic feels entirely out of place, is just annoying (can be turned off via settings)
-Coins not being usefull untill you find the 3rd trader
-No way of keeping creature blood available?


So, got this game a couple of weeks ago cus a friend wanted to play it together, looked right up my alley.
My first impression of it was that the combat and early crafting felt great. This game actually made me feel like a powerfull vampire, stalking the night.
We followed the intro questline and set up our first small encampment in the game.
Then, it was time for our first boss fight. We tracked the boss down and with a lot of dodging we brought it low and unlocked our first vampire power. We felt AWSOME. We were powerfull.
After that we split the party up, some went looking for resources, one went looking for more bosses to murder and i went back to base and continued with the questline.
A few quests later i decided that i too wanted some more powers and went out alone in search for bosses.
*Got shived hard by a boss i was far too weak to take down*
10/10 would get shived again.
Around this time the group decided that our first base was getting a bit crowded and the location we chose was sub-optimal, so we all helped to move all our stuff to a new location.
When the move was done, i once more went out in search of bosses, and this time i succeded in taking down two of them. Thus unlocking some more fun things to play around with.
At this point we'd played the game for 6hours straight and we decided to take break untill the next day.

And that's the story of my first day in V Rising. Something that i would wholeheartedly recomend you try yourself with some friends that like survival games.

Tl;Dr: Get this game if you:
Like FPS & Horror games with tactics

This game is doing all the right things
- Great atmosphere
- Gunplay is good
- Gun variety is good
- Fair deaths, i.e you feel like you did a dumb thing, not that the game is borked
- New players can easilly take down a player that's been playing for long, if they are smarter and can aim
- Game getting regular updates and with bigger ones, events

For all those reasons, i can wholeheartedly recomend this game.

Great game. A bit steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, things will go your way

A really nice strategy game. The only thing that'd make it better in my opinion, is 2-4 player co-op

tl;dr: I like the game, the pros outweigh the cons. Even in the current state of the game, i'd recomend buying it if it looks like your kind of game.

So, i've been playing this game a bit now, and i must say that so far, i really enjoy it. The cannons and ships work nicely, though there are a few things that could, and probably in the future will be fixed.

Pros with the game:
- Good looking ships
- Nice cannon functionality
- Well designed ranged weapons
- Ranged reload animation is nice
- Devs are few, but they're actually doing stuff to the game
- Awsome soundtrack
- Quite a lot of character customization options
- Nice system for issuing commands as captain

Cons:
- Small dev team
- Not as fun without a bunch of friends
- Not very easy to learn to aim
- If you have a lousy captain, you might have lost before you fire the first shot.
- To be a super effective captain, you need to have a microphone

There is nothing like seeing the enemy ship sink at the horizon after a few successfull volleys ^^
And now, a little note to Dakota and Tyler (the devs): Keep up the good work lads, so we'll have an even better version of the game in the future ^^

Bought the game back in Alpha, was fun running around with melee weapons for a while, but got boring so i stopped playing. Some months later, tried to log in, couldn't. Aperently i'd been banned in my absence.

Allso, ask yourself: why the low price?

My tip when it comes to this game? Gather up some friends and buy the 4pack. It's not the most fun game to play alone.

Short review: Loved this, it's kinda like game of thrones (if in a good comunity). The only negative thing i've seen so far is the public servers, they're home to some wierd/rude people (and too many of them)

Long Version:
So, i bought this game a couple of days ago, kinda as an impulse purchase after watching the trailer and wanting something to do. The first thing i did after launching the game for the first time was joining a random public server. On this server i met another new and pretty clueless person on a beach so we decided to team up. The server had just gotten a new king (the old one had the taxes too high) and said king was looking for loyal subjects. Me and the other guy started to make our way over to the castle, there was a gate outside where we waited with some others. Suddenly everyone starts to attack eachother and since i only had a club (wich you start with) i ran away from there. After a little while i realized that i was followed and that said follower was quite new, just like me. He was holding a rope and was obviously trying to catch me. So i went: what's the worst that could happen? and started swinging my club at him. This proved rather effective since he pretty much instantly gave up his capturing attempts. I allmost killed the guy but he ran away before i could finish him off. At this point i kinda got tired of the server (since the king had started to recruit all the rude people on the server, including the guy that tried to catch me) so i switched server, where pretty much the same thing happened (only difference was that i got killed after helping two guys kill some bears).

After playing there for a while i decided that i wanted to make my own server, so i could avoid all the wierdoes. So i did just that.
