Rust has to have the best competitive building aspect of any game I've played. They are constantly improving it and fixing any problems as the meta around base design evolves.

Guns take awhile to get used to and the game definitely isn't designed to make it fair for new players / solo players. So be aware of that and try to make some friends when you start.
