Possibly one of the worse Netcodes in any game i've played. Consistently getting over 150 Ping to every server (even my closest East Coast servers!) As well as lagging out and getting packet loss in every server.

Only happens on this game, and i've tried every fix for it, still happens.

If you're willing to spend an extra $150 on DLC, use 250Gbs of Mods, spend thousands of hours learning the basic controls, and bare through thousands if not millions of game bugs, and engine gltiches...

It ain't half bad.

Okay imagine Insurgency, the og game. But with Cars and better graphics.

Adding onto this review cause Skater XL is fully releasing this July. It's been in development for 1 year and they've added little to no value to the game. Since early-access, they've added a few small mechanics such as power sliding, updated animations, and added a singular map... That's it...

So far for the official release they've shown a map of Los Angles, and some customizable apparel.

There is no announcement of Vertical Shuv-Its, working Vert skating, basic movements like dropping in or getting off the board, One foots, or even simple moves like hippy jumps. Really shows the dev's priorities.

Luckily, the modding community is pulling the weight for content. All of the things i've said above are moddable in the game.

Lemme make a quick Comparison: If you dont wanna fiddle with mods, go buy Session. If you're willing to mess around with mods, buy this game. Mods actually make this game playable, and much more fun than Session or even Skate 3/2.

My main point in the original review still stands, the devs have release absolutely no compelling content to make this game stand out. The only reason this game has traction is that it's literally one of the only Skating games on the market right now. In a genre like FPS or even Survival (like a lot of Early Access games), this would've been dead in the water months ago.

I refuse to give a recommend review to a game that needs to be carried by the modding community, even though I do enjoy it with mods.

Trying to get 1k hours, will update at major events or milestones.

EDIT 1 - 100 Hours, not so long, only a week of running the game in the background, I gotta do this 10 more times tho so :/
