Long story short: The devs do seem to be trying, and the game is now in a state that I would call both fun and playable. It feels much closer to an improved PD2 than a separate IP like before, and you can now actually get exp for just playing a heist instead of doing some of the worst challenges. It's still a bit overpriced, low on content, and guns take a while to unlock attachments, but I'm finding myself having fun with it and wanting to play more.

TLDR: MUCH better than before, but if you don't own it, I'd wait just a bit longer for it to either finish baking so to speak, or crash again hard.

This is up there with World at War as one of my favorite CoD games. It mixed simplicity with fun gameplay and did it well. The guns felt and sounded nice, and the levels felt great and were fun to play. And I'll always remember some of the best NPC banter from any CoD. "I'll see you Jerry bastards in Hell or Berlin, whichever I get to first! - British NPC"

Pros +
(Singleplayer)
+ Great Campaign with quite a few levels.
+ Play as the British, Americans or Russians.
+ Nice selection of weapons.
+ The NPC banter is funny and gets you in the mood to shoot Nazis.
+ Good atmosphere with things like, propaganda in the background, the banter, the level design.
(Multiplayer)
+ Even playing field (no Create-a-Class, just set classes with set guns, and no ranks) (This is subjective)
+ Multitude of Servers to choose from (This game is far from dead with a dedicated community)
+ Only $20 ($15 to $10 if there is a Steam sale)
+ The game came out in 2005, so it should run 60 fps no problem.


Cons -
(Singleplayer)
- Some weapons are extreamly rare (PPS-42 & Webly are only in one level and have little ammo) or are multiplayer exclusive (M3 Greese Gun and the Trench Shotgun)
(Multiplayer)
- It might be hard to find a sever that has "standard" gamplay with good ping. (By "standard" I mean severs that AREN'T crouch only or have a special ruleset)

If you enjoy other WWII shooters and you don't mind that it's a Call of Duty title, pick this up now or wait for a sale!

If you haven't bought this yet, FYI it's just as bad as you think it is.

Really only get it if you want the achivements, or if you want the shotgun (it's basically a reskin of the Locomotive 12G). But it is NOT worth the $6.99.
