This game is a make or break for most people.

The first hours is getting to know the game, and probably learning mechanics and getting crit. However, as the box at the title screen suggests, this game is HARD. It is meant to be hard and there is no noseying through it without mods. I played this game for a while now and I played it on and off, meaning that sometimes it would stay on my monitor as I went to bed eager to wake up and play it again, and other times it sat on my desktop and I wouldn't give it another glance.

You can try all you would like to like a game like this. Sometimes it is out to get you, and that's what is fun about it. Getting those high-rolls and crits. But with the joy there is also despair. Affliction and getting crit is also what deters players from this game. Without stress and criticals, this game would be easy. I tell you, trinkets in this game would be broken without stress and you would walk all over this game. But no, the developers know how to make a game hard.

The point is, in the reviews, I see all this negative attention this game is getting. I actually hate it. They gave the game a shot, and got utterly annihilated because of unluckiness. Understandable, but it should also be fun watching as your heroes progress and bosses die. The game is also very complex. Team compositions are unlimited, and it can get fun putting your Vestal in the 2nd slot.

You should really try it for 2 hours. No dungeon is alike, and this complete RNG-game can be fun if you accept the fact that your beloved Reynauld or Dismas might die. Reynauld might also steal your stuff. But there are ways around it. The fact of the matter is that anything can happen. You could get crit into the depths of hell. You could also banish Cultist Enchantresses into the Shadow Realm with a Thrown Dagger or Sniper Shot.

For those who have tried the game and hated every fiber of its creation, please try it one more time. Create a new save on Radiant and just attempt to enjoy it. Maybe come back to it in a month or two, but please, accept that you might get sh!t on.

Right now, I just beat Wolves at the Door with somewhat ease (I forgot shovels due to money issues) and managed my way through all the ruins bosses. I am about to take on the Drowned Crew with a mark party. Wish me luck.

With Regards,

A person who enjoys a challenge.
