I'd like to thank 505 Games and Eric Sokun for personally destroying any hope we had left for a HAWKEN revival.

The most glaring issues so far: the shift to an entirely PVE experience while making it abundantly clear that you despise the old HAWKEN playerbase and the idea of PVP as a whole leading up to your own release, and how your end result is the same quality of a mobile game with a cash shop that's nothing short of "pay to win". All the art in the game that isnt a 3D render is also AI generated and animated like a "by Balenciaga" edit. Character art is extremely inconsistent and quite frankly ugly to look at. Hire some artists.

Don't even bother installing this one.

It's Gundam Overwatch, it's kinda fun, but it's a microtransaction hell.

Thankfully the mtx model isn't pay to win, but it's frustrating as hell if you want cosmetics or if you want to unlock the five locked units as a free player. A number of the daily/weekly challenges are locked behind the premium pass, and the "beginner" challenges are time gated through daily log-ins. You cannot progress beyond the second beginner's challenge until your third day of logging in. These challenges are seemingly the only way to get season pass experience or any other currency, as match completion seems to only give player level experience. Skin unlocks are also entirely gacha-based and I wouldn't put it past bamco to hand out duplicates. You can buy them apex legends style but it's unclear where the currency to actually buy them like this comes from.

So yeah honestly I'd only recommend this game if you put money into it or give zero ♥♥♥♥♥ about cosmetics. Otherwise, it's frustrating.

This game has an ARG involved that the community has solved entirely by now. Honestly, it could have done without it. Knowing the full story and how it ties in to Daniel Mullins' other games took away from the experience a bit.

I still 100% recommend a blind playthrough of this game, but I really cannot recommend digging any deeper into the story after finishing the game unless you absolutely need to know more.
