Mediocre story, mediocre offline options, terrible online options, either casual(sorry, Kasual) or ranked. Every single online match has terrible lag. No idea what sort of early 2000s netcode NRS is using, but it makes me want to kill myself.

Addendum after more playtime: ranked online balance, even when lag is tolerable, has no sort of skill-based ranking system, which leads to either curbstomps or a curbstomping. I have had 2 matches I can count on one hand that felt competitive, anything else was as said previous.

Incredibly fun and difficult, but nothing beats getting a good set of skulls and items and dominating challenges that were beating you down previously.
