This is an arcade "press to go forward" game, not a simulator. Ignoring the game breaking bugs for now, the gameplay itself is awful.

Press W to go forward, Q and E when prompted. Suddenly red signal with no warning or ability to stop in time followed by smashing into another train and becoming bankrupt.

What? The experience of playing the game is actually awful, it's so boring. No skill required in operating the locomotives leaves a dull and drab experience interrupted by sudden random annoyances such as the worlds worst signalling system.

It's just not fun.

It's good, there's lots of content and it all seems to work fine and all but... If you were looking for Factorio in 3D this doesn't quite make it.

There's no impetus to use any of it. There doesn't seem to be a goal or anything that makes me want to play, sure I can build a factory like I can in Factorio, but there's no discernable end goal that one can walk towards and you cannot lose by doing nothing. There are no enemies or anything that force you to take action, else you lose - all the enemies have to be approached by yourself so you can just avoid them if you desire - and this leaves me just standing around wondering what to do next. For me to enjoy this game, I need something that will come and eat me for standing around, and I need to be able to take action to remove that threat.

Also, I find that the 3D structures are too large and too close to the camera, so you can't clearly see what you're doing with buildings, and the length of time you require manually harvesting power and manually taking things to the research base detracts from the overall experience of building the factory.

If you are perfectly able to be self-inspired, if it doesn't take defending yourself from biters to build stuff, I would say you should get this game. But if you struggle to play games without set, interesting objectives and a reason to build things then I don't think this game is for you.
