Games looks and feels amazing. Needed 2/3 rounds to get the hang of it. Very grindy. Very Dark Souls'y (which is a high praise, as I am not into those games). You get stronger and stronger over time. I feel like I will spend very much time in this one. Was more than worth to pay the full 40 bucks, even on EA. Can't wait to see what is more to come. And to see my actual first boss fight.

As a die-hard fan of the original Team Silent games, with over a thousand hours spent playing Silent Hill 2 on both PS2 and the enhanced edition on PC, I approached Bloober's remake with deep skepticism. For years, I’ve not only devoted time to the game but also helped others experience it the right way, writing emulation and decision guides on Reddit to steer players toward the original versions instead of the Silent Hill HD Collection disaster. So, when the remake was announced, I couldn't shake the feeling that Bloober would inevitably miss the essence of Silent Hill 2. That fear only grew with each trailer and piece of promotional footage, which seemed to focus on the wrong aspects—more on action and visual flair than the deep psychological horror and oppressive atmosphere that make the game so special.

But somehow, they pulled it off. Against all odds, Bloober has captured the very soul of Silent Hill. From the haunting environments to the unsettling mood, the game feels like Silent Hill in all the right ways. I’ve only made it to the apartments, but already, I’m impressed by how faithfully they’ve re-created that unique look and feel.

However, one thing I did notice is the camera. It feels a bit too close to James, making me feel disoriented at times, especially when exploring narrow spaces. This isn’t a huge flaw, but it’s noticeable—though I find myself liking it during combat. When you're locked into a fight, the closeness of the camera makes you hyper-focused on what’s directly in front of you, and it heightens that sense of disorientation. As someone who isn’t combat-trained would realistically feel in a life-or-death situation, that sudden loss of orientation adds to the tension, as if you're reacting on instinct rather than strategy. It’s a small but effective touch that mimics the overwhelming pressure James would experience in such moments.

So, while the camera can occasionally feel disorienting, in combat it actually works to reinforce that sense of vulnerability and fear. Despite my initial doubts, Bloober has truly done Silent Hill 2 justice in a way I never thought possible. Thank you for getting it right when it mattered most.

It's something completely different. And that's such a rare thing these days.
Funny, gritty, lot of fun. Try it out, support the devs, let interesting ideas thrive again!

Essentially a GTFO clone in easy mode without stealth focus and more on the action side. The living rifle is a nice gimmick. Nothing you are going to play a lot. But for some fun time with two (not three as advertised) friends it is worthwhile. Wait for a sale though.

Update: Game is amazing. Arrowheads are amazing. Sony isn't. And as long as the account linking is still in the room AND Sony is still blocking at least one country due to this, this will be a negative review!

The most fun Starship Troopers game ever ... even without a Starship Troopers license!

Graven breathes atmosphere. Super glad that the dev could end his work besides anything Embracer Group shoved his way ... looking forward to finally complete it!

A very fun mix of Pokemon, Ark, and Conan Exiles. Can absolutely recommend. World is insanely huge which is great for exploration. Go get it, it's worth the hype and your money!
