The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories is a delightful puzzle game that has serviceable puzzles that follow the greater thematic story of the game. The characters ability to be torn apart to progress ties in very well with the overall themes and story, and I really enjoyed how the puzzles and various environments interacted with this mechanic. Story-wise, the game does not outstay its welcome, my only real criticism is that there isn't a lot of puzzle based challenge after the story is over. I think I would have enjoyed some minor challenges afterward for fun, but for an 8 hour romp, I highly recommend it.

I generally dislike (most) MMO's, and I found that the DPS gameplay loop for FF14 was a lot of fun. The writing for "A Realm Reborn" is incredibly generic and bland, but does a decent enough job to start setting up large plot lines explored in future content (ARR Post Game, Heavensward). Going through the MSQ with all new content, you will most likely be playing roughly 5-15 levels above the MSQ, and while this does push you to leveling other classes, it does mean that if you enjoy a particular class you may have to leave it behind for extended periods of time.

I've recently started playing Extreme content for ARR & Heavensward, and the difficulty increase is welcome, and it really feels like the victory is a shared and great group effort.

Edit as of 700 hours: Lali-ho! Final Fantasy 14 is truly a masterpiece of gaming. I doubt I'll ever get into another MMO like this one, but if you want to enter another world and enjoy high end gaming content, FF14 is the game for you. May your rotations never drop, and may your roll needs always be high. I hope to see you in Eorzea.

Hades is a great game with tons of replayability. Definitely one of the more interesting rogue-likes to be released in recent years, with some great characters and overall plotlines. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys the rogue-like genre.

As of writing this, the only real criticism I have is that there is not enough enemy variety currently within the game. Your builds for each run can be rather consistent, and you as a player have the ability to force your way into certain builds quite easily. Because of this, the variety that is very common in rogue likes needs to come from the enemies, and currently, there is not a ton of that. I would definitely hope that in future updates, there are more general mobs, as well as bosses that are added to the game.

There isn't much I can say that wouldn't already be said about TBoI:R that hasn't already been said. It is a fantastic remake of the original BoI with a fantastic new soundtrack and graphics. With a whole new cast of items and characters, and the expansions of Afterbirth and a unamed expansion announced, there is plenty of fun to be had.

Was it possible for Dark Souls 2 to become even worse? I didn't think so. I heard the woes of people, that the enemy placement was even more annoying, that the PvE was even worse than before. But I took a chance, and I was immensly dissapointed. Rather than learning from their previous mistakes in Dark Souls 2, the team for SoTS decided that even more enemies in even more annoying areas would make the game more difficult and fun. Now rahter than having an annoying time fighting group of enemies, you want to rip your hair out becauswe enemies that you could not see just spawned to help in your definite demise. If you came to this game looking for PvE, stay away. Go back to Dark Souls 1 where there was balance. If you're looking for PvP and are willing to hack your way past the awful PvE, go ahead and buy this game.

Great side-scrolling rouge-like. Fantastic combat, and a great variety in the classes available to play. The huge variety of items and their interactions also add a whole other level of fun. And multiplayer to play with friends only adds to the fun. Definitely a must buy.

Dark Souls is my favorite game of all time. With a beautiful main story, which is expanded by item descriptions, it sticks with you even after you stop playing, with different ideas and scenarios running around inside your head for hours. With great combat, a large variety of weapons and different ways to fight every enemy, be it ranged or melee. The only major complaint is its use of GFWL, as well as being one of the worst console to PC ports ever, and requiring DSfix to even run reasonably well. If you are fine slightly modding your game, and enjoy killing everything, Dark Souls is the game for you.

Also, it's not as hard as everyone says it is. Git gud u frikin scrubs
