Log in, learn the ropes with bots. After a while try New Player Experience. After 15 matches in new player experience have never once seen another human being, only passive bots which is a complete waste of time.

Can't play ranked, so go into unranked. Lose over 20 games in a row while being matched against people with over 3000 games, usually way more than that. Zero chance to win and just get stomped over and over again while somehow never ever ever getting a carry on your team despite that being statistically impossible.

Just trying to get to 100 hours to unlock ranked is one of the most miserable experiences if not the worst experience I have had in over 30 years of playing video games. It's not even close. I want to like DOTA 2 so badly but this game does everything possible to make you want to uninstall it and never play it again. I cannot understand why when I have less than 100 hours in the game I am playing against people with over 5000 games. Total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Was really enamored with the items in the game and heroes... was really starting to like it when learning against bots then when trying to play against actual human beings it's become a miserable experience.

I was wondering how this game isn't bigger than League when starting to learn it against bots but now I get it. No chance to even learn just stomped in your face over and over again.
