As far as Survival Multiplayer Crafting games go, 7 Days To Die has been the most enjoyable.

From its beginnings as a Minecraft-ish survival game set in a post-apocalyptic environment, it has clearly grown to have its own unique status using physics-bound block placement. With its attribute trees to give skills and upgrades you have a wide variety to approach your survival. Build a base, build a house, or simply carry your armory on you and roam.
