the cutest and most stylish bomberman game made since Bomberman Saturn Fight , and a polished sign of good things to come in the future of bomberman . if you don't like the Konami crossover ( and i do ) , then it's not a novel , or experimental , or feature-stacked bomberman game , but it is certainly a feature-complete and competitively balanced one .

if you can allow yourself to accept this treat , you will be rewarded with adorable graphics , smooth gameplay , well-supported online features and a refreshinh visual novel portrayal of an adorably weird and intimate team of bomber friends .

grand prix MOBA mode is excellent , come play . check out Bomberman R Online (free-to-try) if you're not sold .

faults : the price understandably turned a lot of people off and so you'll need to plan with others ahead of time when you will queue for multiplayer !

bomberman in high spirits . not the most complete "bomberman" game , but my favourite ,
and an adorable tribute by konami based on the feature-complete game Super Bomberman R , which is a cute visual novel take on the series , with Konami integration and a playful comic-book style . this version is not free , but the free-to-play bombers are among the most fun to play from the whole roster (ok well green has an ... interesting build with bad joke stats for a good meme) . the microtransaction Konami characters complicate the game in interesting ways but are drawn back in one way or another .

it's not classic bomberman , it's a simplified reboot with sensible statistical MOBA character diversity and a battle royale style . plus there are konami characters runninh around tryinh to prove something . the comic book style from the source game pulls the weirdness together as if it were a bomberman / konami crossover . which it is . the reliance on konami characters could get repetitive and self-indulgent but ultimately it strangely works for this first R game ; and while stuck with only bomberman R i would miss the diverse classic bomberman universe , i would miss the bomber R team too .

it's the most current official way to play bomberman online , it's free to try , the default characters are cute as ♥♥♥♥ , the characters are balanced in interesting and easily understood ways , and the loading music is perfect .

faults : without the diverse modes of Super Bomberman R , or a queue for the excellent Grand Prix mode , R Online doesn't feel feature-complete . get the original game for more character context and focussed competitive modes .
