CS:GO Review
Broken af

*Edit after another 2000 hours of playtime:

There are many ways in which we can find CS:GO frustrating to play. Biggest problems (at least for me) to overcome were hackers and seemingly random ranking system in official matchmaking system. Other people get annoyed by toxic players, griefers, smurfs etc., but let's be honest, as long as you play any multiplayer game on any platform, there are always people that enjoy seeing others in pain or anger.

Luckily, there are ways to solve all issues mentioned above. Third party platforms (Faceit, ESEA, Esportal etc.) are growing bigger than ever before after CS:GO became free to play and hackers are everywhere on matchmaking. Although their anti-cheat software systems are not 100% hacker proof, the amout of hackers is substantially lower than the amount of hackers cruising uncertain waters of matchmaking. Paired with their decent raking system there is one last problem these platforms are yet to solve - toxic players.

For me, it is not that big of a deal. There is always an option to mute and report that one annoying teammate screaming slurs in foreign language, but for a big group of people it does not solve the whole problem, since your experience is already ruined. On Faceit, that group of people is called ECL. ECL consists of many hubs, each having their own join requirements (required Faceit level, hours spent in-game, number of games played on Faceit, etc.), so no new accounts can't join any of their hubs. There is a caring admin team, always opened to help, willing to kick toxic players from ECL hub and always trying their best to make sure you have a good time playing CS:GO.

So after all my time spent playing CS:GO, I found my new home at ECL hubs. For me it is the best place to play CS:GO since you play on 128-tick, anticheat protected, decent ranking system having servers and in a hub, where all rules and admins make sure you can calmly click heads in this glorious game with an insanely high skill ceiling we all love.
