One of the best games of my high school years. I have played this game so much, I don't think any other game can compare. The modding community at the time was crazy, tons of new options to add in. You can still find mods to this day. The first one was great but the expansions added so much more to the game. For its time this game was the Farcry of RTS, graphics were amazing, maps were never ending, and battles were not capped to 200 units per player. Game defaults to 1000 units, however patchs are available, or a simple edit of the config file to allow as many as you desire.

When cavedog first offered their gaming service to connect players it was all I ever did. I finally had an endless amount of players to play with. It is just sad that the sequal to the game was such a downfall in the game play department. Seems to collopsed their mightly RTS empire.

I hope you all enjoy this game as much as I did.

Just some helpful hints to play the game, starting with before you actually play
It doesn't appear narration is available in the game, sad face. Maybe it is just mine. Secondly change left click to right click in the menus if your used to other RTS. Game sound starts at mono and can be changes to 3D (Stereo). Options accessed only once you select single or multiple player. Options in game can be selected by pressing tab. Game I believe is auto paused on start for all maps. Resolution support works for 1080p but must be selected, most games at this time barely supported 1280x1028.

While playing:
Speed can be adjusted during single and multiple player via the + or - buttons.
Multiple buildings can be queued together using shift.
Resource sharing is possible with allies at set increments so you never have to constantly send resources.
Building units also has an infinite queue. Holding shift increments 5. Left click to add units, right click to remove.
Your commander has a gun called the D-Gun hot key is D, this is a huge blast that can one shot everything but a commander and expieremental units not in the original (later expansions).
If your commander dies in campaign it is the end of the match, multiplayer depending on settings. Your commander blows up like a big nuke.
Planes build the slowest, then Kbots, then vechicles. Forgot hover vechicles, but they are in an expansion as well. Each one has different perks, and should be used together to cordinate strikes. However planes usually over power all else, as they are fast, hard to hit, and cheap to build.

Seriously has to be one of my favorite games. It is insanely hard. Looks insanely bad, but, I can't stop playing it.

Was not impresed with Farcry 2, I loved the first one, but thought the second one was dreadful, Kinda wish I picked up Farcry 3 yesterday as it was on sale. Guess ill buy it on PS3. Finally looked it over and FC3 looks amazing. Farcry 2, is one of those highly polished and shiny piles of dung. There is nothing good other than the graphics.

Probably will get insanely flamed for this as many of my friends drool over the HL series, however, After hearing so much about HL2, I thought the game was going to be amazing, best thing I had ever played. Note this was years ago, about six months after it was released. I played it to be hugely disappointed, I mean seriously there is only like 5 times of enemies in the entire game. Yes the world was great looking, but the game was the worst attempt at making a FPS game I had ever played. I really hope Valve makes a huge attempt at HL3, as HL2 and HL1 were huge failures in my book.

Was a lot of fun till hackers took it over, developer refused to fix wall hacking, or was just extremely bad at it. ruined a lot of maps, took the fun away.

Really enjoyed this game, however the game took forever to load, even on a SSD drive, Seemed to be too many people hacking, and not enough people being banned. Other than that, this game was a lot of fun, for a very long time.

Looked amazing, had lots of fun, then realized that the developers were money hungry ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, who refused to fix multiplayer bugs, loading bugs, magic bugs, equipment bugs, and pretty much everything else. When I reached out to them to report them, why they keep producing more content, and not fixing bugs, (note there was 5 DLC at this time) they replied we have to keep making DLC to sell or we can't afford to fix the games. Problem was they didn't fix the game, Tried it just the other day with the girlfriend, and we couldn't even get into a multiplayer game together, took us 8 tries. This developer is greedy, and I will never buy another game from them again.

First time I played this, it was because a friend recommended it to me; it looked okay, nothing special by today’s standards. However after a few hours of owning it, I quickly figured out it had not been a few hours, I had been up for 36 hours straight with my girlfriend playing it. The game is absolutely amazing, there is so much to do, and no there is even more with the great addition to the free upgrades they keep giving you. A game that would probably flourish if they made all their updates as DLC, has chosen to go the old school respectable route and keep them as patches. I highly respect them, and look forward to their next game they release. I am sure it will be just as amazing, and unforgettable.

Was amazing until they sold out to selling upgrades for real money that gave huge advantages. Maps never got updated, so for the longest time there was 4-5 maps, that you played over and over for months. Great idea, extremely well executed, then poorly polished off due to greed.

Didn't take long to beat, but by far one of the best games I have played, You are god, trying to save tribal people who worship you, saving them from destruction. This game is a bit puzzle, godmode, and just fantastic animations and graphics. I highly recommend buying this game.
