I nominate this game for "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award" since I discovered this little pixelated gem because of my friends in the Sporepedia 2 forum and then I played it with my sister.

Well crafted game and one of the best sandbox games to ever exist.

You know, I'm nominating this game as the "Villain Most In Need of A Hug" award. :'C

10/10 Would do pacifist route again just for that epic boss fight and hug again.

This game deserves the "5 more minutes" award, good game but I would love to see spore 2 and not another No Man's Sky Refund.

Oh and I have way more hours, but when I was younger I couldn't afford to buy the game so I played the pirated version

I'm glad when games give you some knowledge, so... just to skip the bs, go to youtube, search for "stanley parable freedom ending", that's what you should do.

Instead of (Good Stuff and Bad Stuff):
+ Listening to a sensual voice that guides Stanley.
+ Enjoying satirical commentary and inside jokes.
+ Giving money to the developer
- "Discovering" new secrets inside the game.
- Spending your time reverse engineering the game to being able to get the "unachievable" achievement.
- Watching this on youtube instead of buying it, creating a paradox in my striked comments.

Now let this review sunk by other reviews from other bribed? users.

So, for everyone else complaining about difficulty, the learning curve becomes difficult after level 4 (because I understand that switching gravity is no joke), and the game can take around 4 hours and once you master it, in less than an hour; I love it, it's extremely well done, nice reactive movement control, there is plenty of room for shortcuts to skip puzzles once you get used to the environment, you can actually kind of fly, dash through the sky most likely, play with your momentum during mid air, which is more noticeable in the big final level.

This game is not just for fps speedrunners, you can take your time and that's what I did, I actually got 25 hours because I was afking, but completing the game with achievements (this game is my first, i'll tell you), takes around 15 - 20 hours top, also the achievements are not some grindy bullsh*t like in many other games, in fact they are challenging and you will get half of them during your first playthrough.

It's highly advisable to make speedrun maps AFTER de main story (getting all the songs is a plus but some during speedrun are just meh), also it's vital to learn how to use blast jump (however I didn't know that there was a Blast upgrade until my second playthrough lol) it's as difficult as using "speed boost jump" from super metroid, timing your blast to the floor and jumping at the same time it's a bit ticky.

Oh finally the soundtrack... Sweet soundtrack for the most part, really atmospheric, I would recommend ascension (20 minute long song from level 5) at around minute 0:10:00, best part in the whole game in my opinion.

I hope 5-Bits games make another indie title as good as this one.

It doesn't handle 1080p resolutions at all even in the latest version (1.6 right now), if you go any higher than 1280x720 (widescreen), all the buttons are gonna be messed up, also palettes are overused, and even so the game is a bit scary and I know Cry of Fear is one of those games that are not meant to be played on today's standards but anyways, I'm not completing this game because it's not what I expected, maybe in the past I would've enjoyed an old engine game.
