Cool atmosphere and level design, corgis to find and kickass player character. Straightforward in places but very fun and something to bring in folks who may be new to Metrodvania games as a solid starter or along those lines.

Very solid and fun game. Fun to see recognisable models in these graphics again (we got some of those pixelated goodness back in the day, Chaos Gate and such).

I hope we'll get to choose a new character later, maybe from another chapter and maybe in different armour or something to spice things up. I know we basically just see our hands in-game but could be a fun opportunity. Slower not-jumpy terminator armour but maybe you can teleport around instead. Might need its own stages for sake of balancing.

I think even a scout could be fun, keeping to the old-marines. But yeah, looking forward to more content if the devs have some planned.

I previously gave this title pretty scathing review but honestly it was too harsh and I realised it's just been so long since I played a game like this (basically these sort of Civ games).

Being more patient and making sure my economy and bases are ready before committing to wandering too far out but still do a little bit of exploring to capture stuff, but don't be afraid of falling back to rather conserve your original forces.

At the end I really enjoyed clearing out the entire map and seeing the city grow and stuff like that.

Fun time. Accidental all-nighter and my record may say 14.5 hours but should be more like 54.5 hours, little bit of a hiccup of the install files on my end.

The amazing moments be it solo-playing, or answering SOS calls or having my SOS answered, or realising my limits in the defensive missions and seeing others also do so and randoms teaming up to get the job done.

The frantic combat, fantastic visuals and sounds and amazing last-stand like moments but also a game that rewards strategic and tactical thinking (where to anticipate enemy approach for minefields, turrets, orbital strikes etc that buy you time for solving a objective or while waiting for extraction.

Your weapons and stratagems are all tools in your toolbox that you get to review based on the objective you're going into. But also sometimes you just have to solve the problem with what you have. And it totally can work, but also sometimes you're just being overwhelmed and then that's a wall you've hit (on your own at least).

Very fun game with catchy music and interesting setup and writing going on. I enjoy searching for secrets and exploring the levels. Kinda brings back my old Mario / Wario days.
