despite its extremely short length, this game is probably one of the most harrowing and impactful survival horror titles i've played so far. it has a visual style reminiscent of older PS1 graphics, incredible sound design, and an intense atmosphere despite there being zero enemies. the ever present fear of radiation is all-encompassing and lends itself to a lot of tense moments, especially when your Geiger counter starts freaking out and the numbers begin to spike up, or when your flashlight breaks and you try to avoid the large mounds of corium in the dark. water is also incredibly terrifying in this game, the fear of drowning is almost just as powerful as that of the radiation. the tight and claustrophobic corridors and large chambers of the Chernobyl power plant also give this game a lot of replayability as you try to find the quickest and most efficient ways to navigate them while also avoiding radiation poisoning. the only real criticism i have for this game is that i wish there were subtitles because it was pretty difficult to understand what they were saying over the radio, but i guess that's kind of the point.

overall, probably one of the most solid games i've played, and i'd definitely recommend it if you have a couple of hours and GB to spare. i'll never forget that damn elephant's foot.

if you're looking for a quick game to beat, this meat tentacle simulator should keep you occupied for a couple of hours. you can 100% the whole thing in less than a day. despite the short length, i still had a lot of fun playing this game. it's definitely a unique experience, even from the premise alone. 8.5/10, would recommend

just got all the achievements for this game after neglecting it for over a year. wish i got to it sooner, this game's really fun
