I want to like this game, I really do. But each time I come close to fully enjoying myself I find a new flaw that I have to move past.

Positives:
- The majority of the gameplay is fun.
- The gear progression is enjoyable.
- The map layout is fairly easy to navigate.
- The boss fights are each fairly unique despite how many there are.

Negatives:
- The general concept (a world that has lived 9 years without colour) is a fantastic premise that they do almost nothing with.
- The dialogue writing is on par with the Star Wars prequels.
- The money collection didn't need to be there at all, just use the other collectable bit without the currency.
- The game doesn't know what it wants to be, it makes numerous mythological references for seemingly no reason at all, and then telegraphs the plot by some of the abilities it gives you.
- You are taught the entire game to use a self healing ability (a quick healing version as well), only for it to be taken away moments before the final boss. The game trained me to play the game a very specific way for countless mini bosses and bosses, and now at the final hurdle it wants me to learn an entire new way to play without anyone left to practice it on! (Okay yes, technically there was one boss that I got to try it on, but that fight mostly just involved running from one side of the room to the other waiting for the bar to recharge before attacking again, A TACTIC THAT DOES NOT WORK ON THE FINAL BOSS)

In the end, I can't recommend this game as much as I want to.

Fantastic metroidvania, well worth playing if you are a fan of the genre. Especially if you enjoy things like Axiom Verge 2 or The Messenger.

I can't tell you what this game is about, as everything is a spoiler. But you won't be disappointed by this game.

Most of this game was good, But if you want a good story, you will likely be disappointed.
They had the pieces to make a very compelling story, great villains, intriguing plot-line, but time after time they did things to mess that up.

First if you want it to be believable that Harley or Mr Freeze could ever reform, then you can't have them proceed to rack up a body count in the hundreds. Anyone that depraved wouldn't ever reform, and it's ridiculous to think someone like Batman would ever think they could, let alone try to help them do so.

Next the ending, what the fornication underworld was that. (Avoiding swearing in the review)
Dead characters should either remain dead or be brought back with more purpose than a freaking boss battle.

If you want a fun DC game to play with friends, you might enjoy this, but if you are looking for good writing then play DCUO, which is sad to say given that is an MMO.

I find the story premise intriguing and very much enjoy this style of game, which makes it a shame that I feel like I can't play it at this time.

I would like HOTAS or even basic flight stick support. When I play a space flight game. I don't mind how it feels, every game should feel unique, just let us play it the way we want. Some people prefer controllers, and that's fine. Some prefer keyboard and mouse, that's fine also. But some of us love pulling out that flight stick or HOTAS for one of the few genres that it is actually designed for.

Unfortunately making a game in this genre without support for a common control scheme used by those how love this genre, I just don't find acceptable, as this is your target audience. So while I would love to experience this game from start to finish, I know that I won't be able to fully enjoy or appreciate the experience because I'll constantly be thinking "This would feel better, and I'd play better if I were using a HOTAS".

Until a patch is released giving HOTAS support, I am unfortunately going to have to recommend against buying this game. I wish the developers luck with their product, and appreciate all the hard work put in, but basic controller support is not a hard thing to code and can be done in just a couple of days.

One of the most broken games I've played. When I heard that people thought this game was great I had high hopes, however it appears to be the worst of all the series.

-I had a section of the game that if I failed stealth the game would crash.
-The cannon section at the start is incredibly unforgiving.
-The port is terrible and controls make no sense. (for those of you just saying I should play with a controler, this proves its a bad port and the only thing a controller fixes is this part.)
-A gap that Ezio can cross one time won't work the next time you try it.
-I jumped onto a ledge with a horse that was about 30cm (12") of the ground and it couldn't get off the ledge.
-The camera changes to an awkward angle the worst moments and the slightest movement of the mouse makes it look like a 2year old with a handy cam.
-While the camera changes the directions don't work the way you would expect and you can often jump to your death.

This is a buggy piece of Bovine Fecal Matter and unless you care about the overall Assassin's Creed story avoid at all costs.
