Who is the real Bahman? Glad you asked.

"Bāhman Jadhuyih (also known as Bahanee kush) was a Marzban of noble Sassanian Persian origin. He led the Sassanians to victory against the Arabs at Battle of the Bridge, and it was the only decisive victory for the Sassanian Empire and his Sassanian Gund before their absolute demise in the hands of Muslim Arab invaders in the Battle of Al Qadisiyyah. When the Arabs under Abu Ubaid were making an expedition in the Sawad in 634, Rostam Farrokhzād sent Bahman Jadhuyih and Jalinus against him with a force from the powerful Wuzurgan class, who had units such as war elephants and the Zhayedan.During the battle the army of Bahman had an advantage: the elephants in his army frightened the Arabs horses, and which later resulted in the death of Abu Ubaid. The bridge was then broken by an Arab, and around 4,000 Arabs died by drowning and many others were killed by the Bahman's forces.
Afterwards, on 16 November 636, The battle of Al Qadisiyyah began with personal duels. Muslim Mubarizuns stepped forward and dueling commenced, in which many were slain on both sides. Muslim chronicles records several heroic duels between Sassanid commander and Muslim commanders as the purpose of these duels were to lower the morale of the opposing army by killing as many commanders as possible. Having lost several commanders in duels, Rostam pulled back and began the ill-fated battle, to prevent more losses in the leadership.
The next day more duels were fought, unfortunately one of those slain was Bahman himself, the hero of the Battle of the Bridge. Qa’qa, an arab commander, is said to have killed Bahman along with the commander of the Persians left center, Beerzan."
