The game is free, point and click mystery problem solving games are my chill, and this game is very pretty to look at, so why not recommend it?

I do have a few things that bugged me. Like why is a park ranger not prepared, why does another go out alone, did they really have public hand towel rolls in the 70s/80s? ( they did!) Some of the puzzles felt very challenging and take an extra moment to think and figure out, and because of it's point-and-click nature you don't get to explore as much as you'd want to and there aren't many "Easter egg" interactions, which in this 3D environment really messed with my "must touch everything!" nature. The game is certainly not finished so you are left on a cliffhanger. Yet I'm still looking forward to having this fully released so I can complete the mystery!

This puzzle game is cute but takes less than 10 minutes to complete with no randomized settings or repeatability. You can buy an additional level for $1, which is fine, but the app heavily pushes you to buy the "deluxe edition." If you want the playing cards, you have to buy "donations" to get cards ($9 charge gets you 1 card.) It's cute an all, but the cash grab on this one sits heavy. Their highest "donation" purchase is $200... Cute concept but the developers seem underhanded and that just makes the game feel scummy.

I'm going to RECOMMEND this game for the PUZZLES and the creative theme, but NOT RECOMMEND it for the MMO aspect which is practically dead and since the game works around the idea of sailing and fighting with others, this is going to get a steam non-recommend for the moment. If you are interested, it IS worth checking out. Just be sure to PLAY EMERALD.

The puzzles are challenging and the theme is charming. The concept of sailing the ocean in guilds and doing pirate things is fun (and was VERY fun... when the game was active), and the sea mechanics is a great feature.

I am a 16 year veteran player who has seen a lot in the time it's been out. There have been some ups and downs, some server mergers, some item loss issues, but it still seems to be holding up after so long. The community seems extremely quiet. Checking the 5 servers, I found 5 players on the subscription ocean, 5 on Meridian ocean, 450 on Emerald, 0 on Opal (dutch), and 0 on Jade (Spanish). I still enjoy playing it from time to time though I miss the community.

The game needs some serious upgrades to make it more popular with modern audiences. Play for a unique puzzle game, but don't expect it to be an MMO.

Pros:
- Challenging puzzles
- Fun theme
- Content updates
- Pirates
- Dedicated staff

Middle Ground:
- High prices in player economy
- Small playing screen at default which may throw newbies off (you can make it larger in the settings)
- Free oceans do not have all puzzles available
- Must buy badges for certain jobs/puzzles which expire in 30 days

Cons:
- lacks long-time stability
- Old
- Low Player base (as in EXTREMELY LOW)
- "dead game"

Early Access Review
This is a cute and bubbly game that is like Animal Crossing meets Sugar Crush. It feels a bit simplistic and childish (as in geared towards younger players) so it may turn off some older players, especially those who played Puzzle Pirates in it's prime (yes, we are old now...)

My impression is based on having played less than 2 hours and having been a hardcore Puzzle Pirates player back in the day. I recommend this for people that want a cute, casual game. Please try before letting your child play as it is unclear how much or if chat is censored/monitored.

Pros:
- Multi-Platform with saved progression
- Free to play
- low resource dependent
- Day/night cycle

Middle ground:
- Basic character design
- mildly annoying music
- "squawk" talking
- Game play appears limited (not much to do)

Negative:
- Limited areas of social interaction
- Doesn't appear to be solo areas (If you unlock or open areas, anyone can join)
- Reminder to add friend (which shows up if you enter a room and does not go away unless you "forget" it)
- Not Puzzle Pirates

Game is less "internet Cafe Simulator" and more "GTA Gamer Hub."

Will update with a better review once my brain starts working again.

A very well put together game reminiscent of older search and find adventure games such as Myst, Sybera, etc. I was super disappointing when I found out it was only one chapter because it was an interesting story to follow. Would definitely be interested in playing the full game.

The Pros
  • Looks beautiful, with realistic reflections, shadows, and textures.
  • The voice acting for the main character is very well done.
  • Credit is given directly in the game for music and image sources (with links.)
  • It's free

The Middle Ground
  • Mouse sensitivity is a tad high, but you get used to it.

The Cons
  • Not the full game (yes, the horror of a cliffhanger!!)
  • Intro credit scene can not be skipped (only an issue if you missed an achievement.)
  • The music loop can get a little old after a bit.
  • Some achievements where vague/tedious. This is only an issue for us completionists...

I'm not really sure what to say about this "novel." I liked the idea of it, but it felt very lackluster. It's worth checking out at the very least, but don't expect much. I think this is a great start to something that could be really amazing, though at the moment it feels like a rough draft that needs some polishing.

The Pros
  • It's free
  • Decent visuals
  • Decent audio
  • Creative form of storytelling
  • Doesn't take up a lot of space
  • Quick and easy to learn

The Middle Ground
  • Easy way to earn some achievements.
  • Some nice sound affects, but could have used more to become more immersive.

The Cons
  • Cliche story at heart
  • Short
  • Not much to do, even with the limited interactions.
  • Underwhelming

At the moment I can't recommend or not recommend this program, but steam makes me pick so right now it's a no (but I may change this later!) It's not a game, it's a timer with to-do list and music. Overall a very cute idea that could use a few tweaks and adjustments to be great. Add a little more incentive (maybe a shop where your time earns you coins to buy house decorations) and it would be great.

The Pros:
It's aesthetically pleasing. You get this cute little tiny-home with charming art and light affects that make a great screensaver and timer for working away from your computer. It comes with a selection of lo-fi songs, some nice atmospheric sounds that change your cottage slightly (ie: wind, snow, and rain affect outside while heat/fire affects inside, at least with the winter update.) There is a handy to-do list, a time-end notification, and a cat or dog companion. The outside day/night cycle reflects your real world cycle, which is really cool.

The Middle Ground:
There is no way to import to-do lists, so you must manually type them in (which, ok, isn't a huge deal but would save a lot of time.) You can't decorate/change your little house, don't earn (to my knowledge) any new decorations or items. There's no interaction with your tiny house other than that already mentioned weather/heat setting. So it just sits there looking better than your space that you're suppose to be cleaning.

The Cons:
The music can't be changed inside the game, which is a huge bummer since for me lo-fi with a lot of bass/beats gives me a migraine when I'm working. The program also runs inside steam, so you will have steam + the program running just to play music and time you. If you want to change the outside lighting, you have to change your PC clock's time which is a big annoyance/no for me. If you want to use it while working on your computer, you COULD shrink it down but then everything become too tiny to read, and if it's too tiny, what's the point having it open and not your PC timer and a music app/youtube?

Ok, so you've probably read a lot of reviews at this point, but I figured I'd add my two cents to the mix as well.

Firstly, the pros
  • The game is pretty. The graphics (except for the horses and hair) are extremely well done and gorgeous. I admit going screenshot happy through the entire tutorial.
  • Cut-scenes are decently done. In a few scenes voices actually meet up with lips. Impressive.
  • The game is multi-platform. You can play it on your phone, your tablet, or your PC. I really like this ability since my tablet and phone both suck and emulators, such as bluestacks, run horrid.

The Middle Ground:
  • It's an auto-complete/auto-quest. This ruins the emersion feel but is handy if you want to do homework or watch a movie while progressing.
  • It's free. No harm in trying it, right?

The cons:
  • The game's UI does not change from android to PC. This is fine for the most part, but some things make game play more clucky because of it. there are keyboard shortcuts, but the game will always preform like an android game,
  • The game is pretty intense on your computer. It's not graphics heavy, but it WILL make your pc run hotter. Yes, if you know it runs blockchain you already expect it, but some people don't now. So there it is.
  • The voices are all in Korean. Fine if you want to read, but distracting if you want to listen.
  • The plot is horrid and makes not even a LICK of sense.
  • The servers are not location locked, therefore the NA servers are 90% Brazilian and Chinese. The only issue I have with this is that you can't read anything and English language guilds seem rare.
  • Goldseller spam... I don't think I need to say more.
  • Extremely expensive cash shop.
  • Gear doesn't change appearance. Sure, maybe this isn't a big deal for much, but it's one of the iconic aspects of RPGs that I enjoy and expect RPGs to have.
  • Gender locked classes.

I'm going to start out by pointing out that this "game" isn't a game, it's an interactive story/movie. So if you don't like those, you won't like this. It also features many social issues that could be disturbing to some.

With that said, this is an incredibly beautiful and deeply emotional story with likeable characters, pleasant voice acting, and an enjoyable plot. The music was well placed and well chosen, helping to drive the mood in the direction the story felt it was going, without overshadowing the environmental ambiance. There are times where the story does get slow, where you walk when you'd like to run or sprint, and some of the "games" don't really make much sense in the grand scheme of the story. The first half of the ending came pretty fast and I was ready to do more after it was all said and done, but it does wrap up pretty nicely, especially if you complete both endings (which is easy to do thanks to the chapter's replay option.)

Overall it was very enjoyable to experience.
