terrible game
1st: who still uses arrows keys as movement??? WASD should be on every game.
2nd: i got to the spider and i don't know what to do, i mean should it be obvious? because i don't think so.
3rd: this guy can't normally move.
4th: savings are terrible.
5th: everything depends on timings.

my siblings beat this game long ago, i let them play this game because i don't have much game that will go with my iMac my folks got us + i heard that this game is very popular, now i decided why wouldn't i beat this game to 100% since it takes around 10 hours to get all achievements, and i just got every achievement except the one where i have to beat the game in 1 sit (which is 1 hour +) and in less than 5 deaths (i died in the beginning 10 times because of bear traps) seems pretty impossible to me. and about the achievement where you have to get the last egg, it was WOW! it was so fun and entertaining to going somewhere in the dark literally without any clue where to go and dying over and over again because you can't get the 0.01 second timing. BRAVO!!! i can't believe people enjoyed this game and defends it. wouldn't recommend this piece of ♥♥♥♥ to anybody, i know hundreds of games that are worth your time, so please don't even try to buy this game.

updated: this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks, i ain't getting last achievement, not worth my time

there's not so much to say about this game, honestly i even struggle to call this a "game" because it feels like a DLC or add-on. i don't want to write long reviews so i'll just say what i liked and what i hated.
cons:
groundhog day - yes, i might be wrong about it because this "groundhog day" might be the part of the Alan Wake universe, but i'm sorry doing the same thing (not exactly the same thing but you get it) over and over again made me bored, exhausted and overwhelmed.
plot - not saying that plot is bad, but it's just mid, yes it was quite entertaining but it definitely could be better and i'm not really reading into stuff, i actually always skip readings and apparently reading scripts is part of the plot just like the OG Alan Wake.

pros:
live-action - what i'm 100% sure, is that they nailed live action sequences, i knew it since i watched Alan Wake 2 recaps.
map, HUD and collectibles - gameplay is the same, but they changed some few stuffs like HUD and added things to see in the map and since then collecting manu-script pages got easier.
arcade - arcade modes in any game in my opinion are useless. but fine this time i'll let it to be.
new weapons - this is what OG game was needing for, some new kinds of gun. my personal favorite was crossbow, because it really helped me to complete arcade levels.

don't wanna be repetitive but i don't either hate this game or love it, it is completely mid. the game is 2 hours itself and other 5 hours was just me getting all achievements which was not that fun getting of.
would i recommend this? definitely it worth of trying at least first 30 minutes and then it's up to you to decide, i personally played this because i got into Alan Wake universe and i just wanted to get all achievements.

didn't expect anything from this game, and even didn't hook me up after completing the game for the first time, i was actually playing this game just to beat all the achivements, so i decided to watch some videos about the game and even recaps about the game but still i wasn't interested in it, but then i watched recap of Alan Wake II and holy moly, it was so good in every aspect, it got me hooked instantly after learning the context, it also kinda reminds me of True Detective and Hannibal in one, while the first game only feels lowkey Twin Peaks. now after beating the game to 100% i got so much pleasure of doing that, except collecting thermoses and character's movement, i mean it was so hard not to fall from the platforms in special two, this inertia still keeps me mad.

in conclusion i want to say that the game has damn good plot, but everything else quite mid. anyone who loved this game i highly recommend to watch those 3 shows, i'm pretty sure you will like Twin Peaks.
P.S: looking forward of release of Alan Wake II !!!
