newtype nightmare

Fun game. Lets you go crazy with stacking stats/modifiers. My third run I picked up the ranged attack & forcefield gems with a flintlock and high agility, sprinted through the levels oneshotting with the gun like it was Doom.

bought a $1500 desktop to specifically play this game, completely worth it.
AMD hardware + xanmod + mesa runs the game at perfect 60 fps no matter what btw, better performance than 3080s on Windows, and just one of those GPUs cost as much as my entire computer

This is a shame. Whoever decided on what to add to this game cut at least half the weapons and armor from the original mod. Not to mention the varied historical towns and interesting things to do on the single player map are gone. I don't know what anyone was thinking when they released this blight.
