Starfield review by Allusan
To begin, I must express my overall appreciation for the majority of Bethesda games, including Fallout 76. However, this will be a negative review of the game due to the bewilderment surrounding how a gaming giant like Bethesda could create a title with a world that feels so lacking in depth and soul. The exploration of planets within the game, unfortunately, offers little to no intrigue, as they appear to be predominantly procedurally generated, devoid of the captivating elements that typically define Bethesda's game worlds.

Exploring the planets within Starfield is a lackluster experience, with procedurally generated landscapes that lack the distinctive allure found in their previous creations. It's like navigating through a standard version of Skyrim or Fallout 4 yet missing the immersive storytelling that elevated those games to greatness. Regrettably, the narrative in Starfield falls short, failing to capture the same depth and engagement that has been a hallmark of Bethesda's storytelling.

One particularly disappointing aspect is the persistent presence of loading screens. While I understand their necessity in traditional Bethesda games, witnessing them in a next-gen title is disheartening. The gaming landscape has evolved, and the expectation for a seamless experience is heightened, especially when contrasted with the absence of such interruptions in other next-gen titles like Cyberpunk 2077.

Amidst these criticisms, it's essential to acknowledge the positives. Starfield runs smoothly on my gaming laptop, and its graphical quality surpasses any other game developed by Bethesda thus far. This prompts a reflection on our expectations regarding graphics, as revisiting titles like Fallout 4 and Skyrim underscores the significant strides made in standard graphics and lighting within Starfield.

In summary, while Starfield adheres to the familiar Bethesda formula, it unfortunately falls short when compared to their other titles. My final assessment would be a 6 out of 10, a score reflecting the missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential in what could have been another stellar addition to Bethesda's impressive portfolio.
