Fun. Tough at times, but easy enough to get the hang of. Great music.

This game is great fun with friends! Crisp and clean, nice menus, and all the feel of the originals. Had very few disconnections and was able to get together with a decent sized group of friends and make things happen. I hosted my own games for the most part, and people piled in no issue - the offical Aspyr dedicated servers (of which there are many) did the job, but one I played had some unfortunate spawn issues that caused the game to come to a halt.

All in all, I'm excited to see what happens with the game, especially that now modding support will most likely be better than ever - that was my favorite part of the classics.

An edit; there are many reviews that spew nonsense and rag on the game unnecessarily, please check the hours played at time of review. I saw some reviews that said 0.1 or 0.2 hours, 0.2 being a total of 12 MINUTES OF GAMEPLAY. Don't trust those people, but do listen to those with a decent bit of time in their review - negative, or positive!

My MHE review goes over my positive feelings towards Iceborne, but basically I’ll say that this is an extension nearly as large as World’s base content, in terms of activites - monsters - armor, weapons.. you name it. Nice digs in the hub, too.

Monster Hunter World. There is a lot to say about this game, I could honestly go on for a while.
This was actually my first Monster Hunter experience, I don’t remember how it started but I don’t think it’ll ever really end, and I’m here to enjoy that fact.

I played this game with the glaive, swinging it around like a little monkey man to begin and breaking every monster’s back doing air combos by the end. Couldn’t be a more fun and potentially chaotic way to play, I never have a bad time and my party members don’t mind some
easy mounts from that.
I dipped into Hammer as well. Simple, effective, incredibly painful (it definitely looks to be). The visual of sliding down a slope and then suddenly launching into a charged hammer roll only to bonk a monster, or even get a mount, is something wonderful and hard to beat.

I fought and I captured and I most definitely blew up many monsters on the way, to Iceborne and the guiding lands. I can say confidently that the Guiding Lands are an incredible piece of late/endgame content. Refreshing, honestly very rewarding, and the pinnacle of how I imagine World, an endless run around with everything at your disposal, constantly collecting materials and hunting Kulu Ya Ku and the occasional Elder that pops in.

I think this game is worth the time. I played it mostly with friends but had many solo moments that were just as rewarding.

Plays as advertised, does the original much justice with plenty of fitting additions.

I would say, on my solo Balanced playthrough, I have been incredibly fulfilled and tested by Baldur's Gate 3. By no means are these challenges heinous or violently in the favour of the enemy, they are fair and my success depends entirely on the choices I make. Every step counts, as we truly are only able to make one move at a time, with some exceptions.

To this end, my power comes directly from that freedom of choice and consequence with which I get more familiar in each new playthrough. This is the core of what makes Baldur's Gate 3 something so incredibly unique - something violently special and nothing but a joy to experience. At least, joy is probably the most heavily weighed emotion I feel - there are most definitely times of dread, worry, and realization - like after I somehow blow my entire party into tiny little meaticles. I didn't see the barrel, okay? Or the oil. Or the other barrel.

In Early Access, with Act 1, I was not even remotely able to get what I would call a "firm" grip on Baldur's Gate 3 - its secrets and truths were far beyond anything presented at the time. Despite that, it contained a very vast amount of juicy and wonderful content - ranging from worg-dookie related incidents, to the growing of deeper bonds with my party members. Not to mention, some pretty epic boss sequences.

Upon the Full Release, I immediately started multiple campaigns with friends, and one alone - I truly couldn't contain the excitement that I had for this game. A paladin is my true calling, but I've tried quite a few classes at this point - including some triple multi-classes that I have been scorned for, to a possibly valid extent (however I will never admit it). I like smelling up the battlefield, alright? Not once have I come to battle or converse with the world and thought that my options were none. I always have choices, always have ripples from said choices, and I always have the option to beat someone over the head with my halberd. And sometimes, I can even do nothing - let my companions do the talking.

The story of Baldur's Gate 3 is really more complex than can be explained by saying "The story was good" or "the story was bad". It was definitely meaningful and had great impact on me, but the amount of variation presented per playthrough alters the story enough to make it nigh impossible for you and I to discuss whether or not "the story" was good. We can only recount our individual experiences and what we got from our campaigns. I enjoyed my time playing through my version of the campaign, and every consequence that came from it. I felt like I was making the difference, good or bad, and the world felt my causes with its' effects.

I am happy to have played Baldur's Gate 3, and I will continue to play it as time goes on. I will play for and with my friends, invite others to see what I have seen, and give my all each and every time. I hope you enjoy it, as I have - and much more.

I enjoyed this game. I will start with my one gripe; being that there is no FOV slider. Not a dealbreaker by any means as base FOV is around 80.

Gunplay is very good, without spoiling any of the included tools most of them feel great aside from one found quite later into the game that is mediocre at best. Things do feel weighty, which does add to the sort of effect the combat has. I love the melee fighting, it does satisfy me - especially the abilities included with each weapon.

A great thing about these weapon systems is the amount of variation in terms of modifications that change the way a gun or other tool works. A decent bit of variety is included in the weapons and the way you build them, which also changes them all visually. I appreciate that point a lot. I should also add that the collection process for things like materials is relatively painless - and can be pretty satisfying, too.

In terms of overall gameplay, I would consider this game more of a linear experience than not. I think fixating on something like a game being linear and deciding to play on that would be unwise, because this game also includes a modestly but fruitfully sized open world section that takes form of a vehicle for players to get their upgrades and stock up on resources - as well as kick some ass. Each section that plays a part in story progress will be more or less a linear collection of combat and actually satisfying puzzles.

The story is more or less faint for a good portion of the game. It is there, it won't hound you, and it did provoke thought which I find important in a game. Things naturally ramp up as time goes on, of course - I would say it definitely helps back player action.

Overall, I would say this experience was one I was glad to have. Not a needed one, perhaps, but one that I enjoyed all the way through and one that exposed me to different styles and systems that I really haven't participated in or experienced before.
